Try It Out Tuesday #12

Fun challenge...check it out over at Follow Your Heart, the store blog for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design.
The challenge is to create a gift set. Since I'll be designing for Anki's Sweethearts, I thought I would design my set for a child. So many of us pack up the little ones for a day trip to the relatives over the Easter holiday weekend. So here's some things to keep them busy for the roadtrip!
A post-it note holder with an attached mechanical pencil, a good read, a little trail mix and a card with a word find game or two!
I used Stamp Something's sketch for my card and this tutty fruity polka dot paper is a free download from Libby Weifenbach Designs! The stamped image is Young Julia with Purse from Anki's Sweetheart line exclusively made for Susana's store!
I also wanted to give you a DROOL ALERT...
Susana just rec'd the new SHAPABILITIES, NESTABILITIES & IMPRESSABILITIES! yeah, so hurry on over to the store and have a looksy!
Thanks so much for stopping by! The sun is shining here today but my toes are still cold!
Blessings for a peaceful day to you!!!

Tender Toile Bunny

Can you believe Easter is less than two weeks away?! So many of the challenges are calling for Easter cards. I don't send out a ton of them but I do need to start making some!

A brand new challenge to get you're mojo going is Res-Q-challenge, this is only their second challenge and it's based on an inspiration theme this week. Beautifully patterned teapot & dishes. They reminded me of a soap dish my grandmother had, as a little girl I though it was so so pretty. It was white with little blue flowers and a gold ring around the top. I used the MME everyday tango DP and added a little swirl on the bottom half, can you see it? It's a little more distinct IRL. The sweet bunny is from a retired SU! set, Tender Toile, it's my fav. "realistic" bunny! The itty bitty Happy Easter is from a wonderful Clear Dollar Stamps set, just nutty, it was just the right size! I used SU markers for coloring; old olive and caramel. Here are some other challenges: Daring Cardmakers wanted to see chicks, bunnies or both and Crafty Creations wanted just bunnies! And A Spoonful of Sugar was looking for Easter cards!

Hope you're enjoying your Monday! I had to call the dentist over the weekend for my DH, he broke a back tooth, ouchy! Our dentist is so wonderful, they took him first thing this morning! He's much better now! Many blessings to you today!

Shabby Princess digital card!

Here's another warm colors card for the Creative Card Crew! This paper, frame and rose is from the Shabby Princess digital holiday fall kit. The rose is cut out, clear embossed and popped. I stamped a scripture from SU! elegant inspirations inside the frame in gold and embossed it too!
I'm please with this one and it will be sent out tomorrow to a lovely godly lady I reconnected with recently!!
Blessings!

Here's Penelope!

This is Penelope, isn't she sweet. When I saw her hair, I fell in love! Penelope is from a set of three digis from Pollycraft! Digitals are so inexpensive and you are able to alter their size...the card insert has a mini Penelope in the corner. I used K&co papers and SU! pastels to smudge some color on her! The MS punched butterfly is heavily glittered and perfectly placed on the DP! I used the EK retro flower is punched is layered in orchid cs and CB'd DP. The sentiment is CG.
Don't ya just love these spring colors?! The sketch is from Pollycraft and the color inspiration came from Created by Courtney!
This card is going to encourage a lovely friend...that her prayers do make a difference in the life of a loved one! God cares so deeply for all His children! Peace and Blessings to you!

Twisted Thursday on Saturday!

Here's a little cutie!
I made this for the Twisted Thursday challenge, they provided the sketch with a twist...paper piercing. Look, I used a button! I know, it's only one, but it's a start!
Love the ribbon though...organza is my fav! The challenge at Charisma Cardz was to use our favorite things! The papers are K&co, another fav because my hubby bought them for me! I kept the overall card pretty simple & clean so the focus is on this little guy and the sentiment! Off he goes to encourage...not sure how the bow will look coming out of an envelope! Have a wonderful weekend! Blessings!

Flutter by #50 and Free Stuff

Happy Friday!
I'd like to share a fabulous challenge with you called Flutter by Wednesdays, it's somewhat new to me but as you can see this is their 50th challenge. Danni over @ Danni's Dreams has all the details and some blog candy too! For my card, I used my SU bold butterfly in rose red and pink pirouette. The flower bg is vellum over baja breeze and white. The green leaves are cut from the Cricut, when I had a play date with my lovely friend the other week! I thought these colors looked happy together!
Cute Card Thursday's theme was to create a card for a member of your family, but I can't tell you who this is for because they all read my blog! (*family note-you'll have forgotton about this by the time you rec it)
I wanted to also share some exciting news with you...I will be an April guest designer for the Anki Sweethearts stamps, an exclusive line of stamps for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design shop. So I'll have some great projects to show you and fun info to share. Which brings me to the next bit of info...
Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, has some great inspiration and tutorials so it is definitely worth hopping over to visit. Danni of Danni's Dreams just did an awesome technique tutorial on crinkled chalk! Yeah, I never heard of that either, but she shows us how...easy peasy!
What else you ask, well...

There is a sketch challenge going on until the end of the month over on PCP at Susana's. Create a card with this sketch and you could win some free stamps! No problem right? But there's more...

Gosh, free stuff everywhere! Here's three more chances to win some yummies. The wonderfully talented Suzanne Dean is offering blog candy, three of them, to celebrate her first year blogging. I can not believe she has only been on the scene for a year...her blog Scrap Bitz, is famous for her beautiful creations, tutorials and design team work! So check it out!

Well, that should keep you hopping for awhile! Enjoy your weekend! Blessings!

Bookmark Fairy

The lovely ladies over at the Creative Card Crew gave a challenge of warm colors...that made me think of deep reds and golds. This pretty little fairy was a free download, but I can't remember where, sorry. She sparkles and shines with glittery ribbon and PearlEx wings, I also used a gold gel pen here and there! More K&co paper and she's colored with prisma pencils and markers.
I decided to make a bookmark as requested by the Belli Challenge and it covers two other challenges...ABC's glitter and Daring Cardmaker's theme women!
The ribbon is Offray, we have an outlet somewhat nearby. I must visit again soon!
Hope you all are enjoying your day, I have another card to share for a new challenge (for me!) and some fun info. to share a little later! Blessings!

A Hokey Pokey Monster

Let's Dance!

I grew up doing the hokey pokey, did you? Usually doing it on roller skates! My dear hubby and I met on roller skates at the local roller rink! I think, as a teen, I was at the rink every Wed & Fri night, Sat & Sun afternoon and evening! What can I say, it was the local hangout! My DH was the guy skating backwards and doing splits. Oh, my heart would pitter patter when I saw him! Still does!! Is it getting hot in here???? :) I have wonderful memories of our skating days!!

Anyhoo...onto the card! When I saw this little guy, he looked like he was doing the hokey pokey. "You put your right foot in, you put your right foot out, you put your right foot in and ya shake it all about, you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, {clap}, that's what it's all about!" Sung while standing in a large circle...with every body part getting it's turn!!! If you're still confused...google it! So, get on with the challenges you say....

Well, the Cupcake Craft challenge started it all, with a theme~monsters, the cute ones not the scary kind. I used Donalda's sketch from Lili of the Valley and shrank it down tag size for the One Stop Craft challenge! And the colors were inspired by Colour Create~navy, turq & lime.

Hope everyone had a hokey pokey kinda day!
Blessings!

Just Keep Swimming

Here's a little encouragement for ya! Just keep swimming! That's what these two little fishy do, round & round in their bowl! Cute Card Thursday gave us a recipe=torn paper, 2 papers and ONLY four embellishments! I did not count the staples as embellishment! :) The fun sketch is from Sketches! (by tamara), the theme over at the Corrosive Challenge was underwater things!

I found a new challenge the other day and wanted to fit that in too...Stacy's Jewelry Color Inspiration #29~real red, bashf. blue, barely banana and white. I didn't have the banana, I really don't have any light yellow at all, so I used what I had! I'm sure that's fine, crafters are nice people!!! lol Actually, subtitutes are fine so go ahead and play along!!! Creating is to be fun and fulfilling, something to relieve stress and bless others, right? So go forth and create, then post/mail that card and bless someone! Prayers for peace and good health to you, Blessings!

Julia with Flowers

Here's a little sweetie, or should I say sweetheart! Yep, this is one of Anki's Sweethearts. There are 10 of them and they are super fun to color!
This week on the Try It Out Tuesday challenge the recipe was to use one of Anki's Sweethearts, ONLY 2 layers and ONLY 2 embellishments. So I decided to use Julia with flowers and this glitzy K&co paper (the glitz was already on the paper so it doesn't count as an embellie) The color challenge over on SCS was pretty kiwi breeze, translated hot pink, olive green and lt bluish. So I thought this fit the bill!
The sketch is Laura's from 2Sketches4You. Since these lovely colors are all bright and springy, I decided to play along with Stamp Something too!
Hope you enjoyed your Tuesday! Tomorrow will come and we'll do it all again. I hope you have the opportunity to checkout some of these challenges...so much inspiration to enjoy and you meet new friends! Peace & Blessings to you!

Res-Q-Challenge

Had to share this....
While visiting Lee this morning, I was introduced to a NEW CHALLENGE BLOG~ RES-Q-Challenge! Thanks LuvLee! Their first challenge is a scavenger hunt....omgosh, how fun is that! You have to visit for all the deets!
So, here is the card I made....
I choose my colors from Michelle's Unity Cameo card, a sketch from Denise's SC219 card, a stamp from JoAnn's sympathy card and Jean's fabulous brad in an eyelet trick!
As with any recipe all I had to do was mix it up! I'm quite pleased with the result! Thanks so much Jean for this cool idea and thanks to all the ladies for their beautiful inspiration!!!!
Blessings to all who read here!!!!

Made You Smile!

Isn't she fabulous?

I just did a little watercoloring on her and relied mostly on Joanne's lovely sketch from the Charisma Cardz blog to carry this one! The "brads" are my trick of punched circles from my crop a dile and a drop of crystal effects for that shiny dome look! The DSP is SU's summer sun. Pretty simple but I really liked this image, not sure the company, rec'd it from Allison! Thank you Allison!!! TGIF offered the theme~keep smiling and this card did for me! Secret Crafter Sat Challenge wanted us to use our fav color. That was way too hard, but I like this combo so I picked turquoise & summer sun as my fav right this second! :)

I'll be visiting you all tonight! We lost our electricity for awhile today. Some workers were cutting trees down along the road and we're not sure what happened....we think they were city slickers and didn't know the difference between a tree and a wooden utility pole! hehe Nothing to do but stamp! aww poor me! LOL

Well, I hope this card made you smile! Praying peace over you and much joy for your heart! Blessings!

Trio of Butterflies

There were a bunch of challenges I wanted to play with this past week and finally had the chance this weekend!

The Cuttlebug challenge was to use punches along with the CB of course. I punched my squares and used the textile CB folder and the punched butterflies are textured with CB swirls. The "ribbon" is from candy won and the papers are K&co. I used my SU leaves wheel for the Belli Challenge theme "wheels"! I rolled it across in versamark for a light image then I rolled it over in cocoa for a distressed look! The sketch is from Created by Courtney and the colors were inspired by Madelynn's Twinkling Tues challenge!

Well, here's to starting a new week, which I have no doubt will fly by again....so I better get started stamping now! Have a fabulous week! Much Peace & Blessings to YOU!

Brown Bird of Thanks!

Happy Sunday everyone! And Happy Mother's Day to those friends in the UK!
I saw the sketch by Beatrix over on Friday Sketcher's and had to play along! Isn't it fab? I use the colors inspired by the Cupcake Craft challenge. Look, I actually used a button, I'm so button challenged, this was the best I could do!!! Never know where to place them! Buttons were on the list for The Pink Elephant challenge and buttons & bows over on Ooh-La-La's blog! I used these beautiful Little Yellow Bicycle-Sharon Ann stamps for the flower & bird, inspired by the nature theme on My Time to Craft! The papers are some of K&co's Christmas papers. The sentiment is SU!'s happy harmony. And I also want to wish a sad good bye to the Arty Girlz challenge blog. Their final challenge issued was the same as their very first~stamping! The blog will stay up and is filled with wonderful inspiration to be seen and Crissi & Julie's personal blogs are up and running, it's just the challeges that will cease! Thanks for the great fun & inspiration ladies!
Looking forward to a relaxing day and some party celebrations tonight for my SIL & niece! Yes, I actually finished their cards days ago! :) Peace & Blessings to all!

Just Believe!

Ran out of daylight on this one and editing just washes it out! I wanted it to look so much better, because this card is for you!

Our poor economy is touching so many lives! So I dedicate this card to those of you going through a stressful time; concerned about your job or your spouses' job!

My friend's husband goes to work everyday wondering if it will be his last. He has to wrestle with a decision to have a minor operation while he still has a job with health coverage or put off the op so he doesn't miss any work and be "voted off" while recouperating! It's so stressful for them and it breaks my heart to see them going through it!

I made it orange and yellow to brighten your day! I used the butterfly for hope/new life, the flowers/bling to remind you, "You're Beautiful"! The swirl to show forward motion! And the sentiment BELIEVE to know you are loved and cared for...always! Prayers for much Peace & Blessings to you all!

materials used: tangerine, white & summer sun cs., SU! brass stencil for dry embossing of flowers, Autumn Leaves Stamps~swirl, MS butterfly punch & CB'd, Kaiser rhinestones, the sentiment is a rub on.

****I'll try to take another pix in the morning!

ETA: still had trouble in direct sunlight...so had to edit!

A Birthday with no DP!

eek! No Designer Paper???? That's what the talented ladies over on the
Creative Card Crew want from us!!! Just don't take away my bling too!
This is a CASE of a CASE! I cased myself casing Mary Fish! I just loved these colors together and matching color was so new to me in the beginning! Now almost 2 years later, it's still one of my favs!
I don't think this one needs much explanation...brown cs, blue, white, br&bl, bl&wht. hehe The gift is from a SU! Christmas stamp set~holiday wishes and the sentiment is my trusted friend SU! cheery chat! If you haven't played along with this new challenge, pop on over, you could win some great stuff and I know you will be inspired!!!!
We're heading out later this morning...I promised the kiddos we'd stop at the library and hit all the local shops...I think Rita's Italian Ice offers freebies today; the first day of spring! Yes, we have a Rita's in our little neck of the woods....actually it's in the next town over! But I like it that way...I think the trouble all started when we got that blasted red light (traffic light) a few years ago! haha, a little country humor! Gosh, I hope you all can find humor in whatever you're doing today and make it a great one! Abundant Peace & Many Blessings to you today!

Twisted Thursday

I saw a new challenge over @Karolyn's blog, Paper Therapy! It's called Twisted Thursday because there's a twist to the challenge! Pop over to her blog for all the details! (you'll be glad ya did! wink ;)

Isn't this a sweet image, I downloaded it and went to work! I used SU! chalks for coloring and K&co papers. The retro flower was punched, CB'd, curled and popped. There's a little boho punched center and a grn brad! I really need to buy a leaf/stem punch, the evergreen bough is not cutting it for spring! But I used what I had for now!

When I was coloring this cutie, I was thinking of who to give it to. I like to send my cards out right away so they don't start accumulating but most people aren't that fond of mice. So I thought to dress "her" up a bit with a diamond necklace...who can resist diamonds, right?! Then BAM! I saw an email pop up about a young lady friend going on a missionary trip, well my dilemma was solved! She is so sweet and has such a heart for the Lord, we will definitely be supporting her and some of that support will arrive in this sweet little card!!! I'm sure she doesn't have a problem with mice!!

Here are some other challenges for today, Crafty Creations~spring, A Spoonful of Sugar~gems and the ABC challenge~F for flowers! Check them out if you're up to a challenge!!!

Hope you are having a wonderful productive day with whatever you are doing! Peace & Blessings!

Alicia the Fairy

Isn't she beautiful? This is one of Anki's Sweethearts, exclusively sold at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design! I used the sketch posted over on PCP, you have until March 31 to submit your creations!
This is a great image to color and I kept the background pretty simple to showcase this glittery-winged fairy! I gently shaded the focal panel with pastels for grass & sky.

Thanks for stopping by today, again! :) I'll be visiting you tonight, if I know you were here, so leave a comment and let me know what you think of this little beauty! Blessings!

Springtime Birthday

Ahhh, springtime, temps are going up in the 60's today! Here's a card to celebrate the new season which starts this friday!

I was inspired by three challenges...Secret Crafter Challenge~cake, (that always inspires me!) Crafty Muse~change of season and the sketch is from Card Patterns! I know ya can't see it but the wings are glittered! The image is paper pieced and a download from Crafty Muse.

It's such a beautiful day out but I just rec'd some new rubbah in the mail....so what to do??? Stamp or go outside???? hmmmm...I'll get back to you on that! I hope you have a beautiful day! Blessings!

materials used: papers: K&co, image: CraftyMuse, swirls: Autumn Leaves, sentiment:Hero Arts, rhinestones: Kaiser

Shabby Chic card

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

No green card today, they've been sent on their way! I was feelin' a little shabby chic instead! I really have no idea what my style is, obviously, I just know I like creating cards that make people smile!

I used Andrea's sketch over at the Kaboodle blog! You can participate in their challenges using their downloads or not! This digi paper is from Summer Driggs! I printed the flower out four times and layered it with thin foam dots! Roughed the white cs up a bit and stamped the stem and the sentiment (LAD). Rather simplistic, but I'm pleased with it!

Well, the sun is shinning, the kids are outside playing, they'll work on their school work throughout the day...wouldn't want to miss this beautiful day! I'm off to hang laundry out on the line and bake a cake with green icing. That's about all we do for this holiday now that the kids are a bit older. We do have a touch of Irish blood runnin' through our veins on my paternal side and I have the white skin and auburn hair to prove it! hehe I will read a short bio on St Patrick to everyone later today! It's always nice to know why holidays are celebrated! I hope you have a fabulous day and you're able to bless someone today! Irish blessings to all who read here!

Need a Hug?

Here's a little cutie!
Instead of using Baby Millie for a baby card, I decided she would become a messenger of smiles! Off to someone who could use a hug! Aren't these fun, happy colors? Colour Create gave us red/green as inspiration colors this week. I went with "spring-time" shades of red/green! The sketch is from the lovely Michelle for A Spoonful of Sugar. Crafty Creations' challenge was flowers. Since I'm not one to use flowers much, I chose this card to enter because of these cute little paper flowers! (Truth be told, I don't use flowers much because I can never find ones in my stash to match!) The sentiment is simple...hugs! It's from Su's Soo Many Sayings. I use these stamps alot because they're so versatile! They come on 3 wooden blocks, each has about 9 sayings in column form...not very user friendly that way! But after a little operation with my craft knife, I can use them anyway I want! Yes, I cut up my Stampin' Up stamps! You can do your wheel stamps too, cut them off their wheels and attach them to a wooden or acrylic block...no more trying to roll straight! Cool, huh? So,go ahead, mutilate your stamps and make them work for you! LOL I hope your day was a good one and you were able to bless someone with one of your beautiful creations! Peace & Blessings!
materials used:
celery, turquoise cs, regal rose DSP, Sugar Nellie stamp, SU! pastels (chalks), K&co brads, ribbon from stash, and the stitching stamps from Hot Off the Press., sentiment-partial stamp from SU! so many sayings.

St. Patrick's Day Card

Green is the theme!
The Corrosive Challenge and Stamp Something both issued green challenges.
I used a CPS (card positioning systems) sketch. I found this fun ribbon to match. Whenever I use ribbon, I feel my life's goal is to make a perfect knot or bow! I didn't have any St. Paddy stamps so I downloaded this happy little guy from a free coloring book site! I had to shrink him a bit, but I'm really happy with the results!
Hope you're enjoying the last bit of your weekend! Prayers to all of you not feeling well!
Peace & Blessings to you all!!!
materials used:
Prisma markers, wild wasabi and summer sun cs, ATD yearbook paperpack, image from coloringbookfun.com, brads & ribbon from candy won!

How does your garden grow?

Well, we started our garden today! A sure sign of spring!! It's still a little cold to plant but the snowpeas and onions are ready to go in, maybe next weekend! In honor of the garden, I made a green card today! :) Actually I made the green card for the Creative Card Crew's brand new challenge blog!
The papers are Martha Stewart and I used my prisma pencils for coloring! I saw a great tutorial by Suzanne Dean over on the Follow Your Heart blog on making a cloudy background, it worked great but then I covered it up with my sweet Tilda! :( I also added a little "Charlie Brown" grass. The flowers are the SU! boho punch.
This card is going to a friend who shows kindness to our family often! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! I had a lovely weekend so far, will tell you all about it when I'm not in a rush! Blessings!!!

Blessed!

Blessed! That's me!
That's you too! Yeah, ya are...if you think about it, you are! Even with everything going on around us, we still have blessings to count, probably too many to count! So smile, you're blessed!
Now, onto this simple little card...
The colors were inspired by The Pink Elephant challenge #5 (brown, green & pink), I love color combos with brown!
I used the lovely sketch by Laura over at 2Sketches4You!
(Laura & Kazan do a wonderful job with these sketches everyweek!)
The rose is from Close To My Heart, colored with Prisma markers and highlighted with a gold gel pen. The white panel is "tissued" (not sponged) with pixie pink. Well, there was a tissue laying on my craft table so....no, it wasn't used!!!! The white still looked a little bare so I used the lattice technique! NO SCOR-PAL WAS USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS LATTICE!
I just wanted to make that clear...so those of you who do not own a scor pal can be inspired! I simply used my Creative Memories straight paper cutter and my Stampin' Up! stylus! Just run your stylus over your paper placed over the groove, that's it! (if you need pictures, email me) I finished off with a little bling and there ya go!
So, did you know you're one of my counted blessings, I appreciate all the wonderful friends I've come to know through blogging and all of you who leave lovely comments...you make me smile! Now go forth, have a great weekend and be blessed!!!

A Her & A Him Card!

A card for her and a card for him! I usually don't put two cards in one post but it's Friday, I'm being efficient!!
My girlie card is from the little set of dress up girls by the Angel Co. (I think, it's blue rubber with gray foam) I used my prisma pencils & baby oil. I don't have nesties, so in order to have a scalloped rectangle big enough, I punched four squares and overlapped them! Hey, it worked!
This is the sketch from Sketch & Stash, though you can't quite see the two DP panels. My new stash is the sentiment from Lizzie Anne Designs won in candy! (LAD, Little Bits) The flower is CB'd, shaded w/white craft ink as a base "coat" then sponged with green & yellow, better IRL, fine & chunky glitter added! K&co paper, of course!
For the masculine card, the camo paper came from the clearance bin at Michael's ($0.25)! The letters are Junkiz Whimsical. I didn't take a close up but I stamped "manly" images in the bg...hunter, hunting dog, pheasant. Charisma Cardz wanted a guy card and the sketch is from the Beary Box thursday challenge!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend...Peace and Blessings to all who read here!
* highlighted for the convenience of the Sketch & Stash crew!

Just for You!

Hope everyone is having a splendid day!
I have the household in order for a bit and had a chance to use the lovely sketch over on Cute Card Thursday! I used K&co paper in shades of green/pink/yellow stripes so I could also participate in the Corrosive Challenge! Lili of the Valley's challenge was to make a card for Mother's Day, which is in March in the UK! The flowers are glittered and I added a stripe of fabric down the center! I tried to capture the sparkles in a close up! Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong but some of these challenges are Thur challenges...finished on a Thursday!!!! Oh, yeah!
Hey thanks so much for stopping by, now go forth and be blessed! :)

Little Foxy

Is this not the cutest fox you ever did see....I smile everytime I see him! (Thank you soooo much Donna for sending him over to me!) {{hugs}}
I used this splendid sketch from the Truly Scrumptious challenge and placed little Foxy in the wood! The cs & DP are sponged and distressed, SU's Lovely as a Tree is faintly stamped in the bg along with some stitching. Foxy is watercolored and his eyes & nose have a drop of SU's crystal effects. The button is homemade with cs, eyelets and crystal effects.

Another busy week for us, with our homeschool winding down to end in April for this school season. We have testing, paperwork and the portfolios to finish up...they say PA is one of the stricter homeschooling states for recordkeeping! :( It's a good thing I'm organized....eek!

Blessings!

A PennyBlack Easter!

Well, I'm in a new frame of mind today, BUT I had already made this....so we're still looking a fun cards! I promise I will make a seriously elegant card next time! hehe
Every holiday, I must dress my PB girl for the occasion! I've done one for Christmas & halloween, oooh, I forgot about St Patty's day, hmm!
Anyhoo, she's fun to play with! For this card I used Sketch Saturday 's lovely sketch and PennyBlack's challenge was a recipe, three brads, two ribbons and one flower! Quite colorful, isn't it?
We have a busy day today, but I will try to squeeze out another style of card today! Hope you all are having a fun Wednesday! Prayers to all of you not feeling well....be healed, comforted and refreshed in Jesus' name! Peace & Blessings to you all!!!

It was THIS big!

Staying with my silly theme today, here's another fun card!

I used the sketch from a challenge blog I found; Card Patterns #5, only I mirrored it! I picked the sentiment from the Quote Garden!

I think that's it for today, I wonder what mood will strike me tomorrow! Hope you're having a fun day too! Blessings!

Beware: Rated S~for Silly!

Ok, I did elegant for awhile, now I have to show my silly side! Dutch Dare wanted tropical and I was thinking ...well, let's just suffice to say my brain is a scary little place to be at times! I saw this ruffled trim and flamingo punch art over on SCS...isn't it just too fun! This card is to brighten someone's day...bring some smiles and laughter into their life! I think it will be well received! I need to remind myself every now and then why I enjoy this craft so much. Not to impress someone out there looking at my creations...but to bless the person for which the card is intended! If someone else enjoys it, well that just multiplies the joy!!!
Can you believe Lili of the Valley's challenge was to make a bright & cheerful card....I think I'm going for that one! lol Thanks for looking and I hope you smiled! Blessings!!!

Materials used:
penguin Impress Stamps, scraps of pink DP and aqua paper, pixie pink paper, yellow mulberry paper (3strips layered and snipped) SU markers, SU oval & circle punches, blue Prima flower, rest from stash.

It's Charlie Horse!

Here's a fun one!
This is one of my very favorite stamps, it's the first one I purchased at Clear Dollar Stamps...Charlie Horse! (CiSBC2) "How's everything on your end?" That cracked me up the first time I saw it and I still think it's pretty funny! I watercolored Charlie hap-hazardly keeping with the distressed look and heavily sponged edges throughout! I added some jute fibers to his tail and tuff! This card was really fun to make! I hope you like it too! The challenges: ABC~distressed, Stamp Something~use a favorite something and A Spoonful of Sugar~torn edges. Thanks for stopping by! Blessings!

I'm so sorry...

As I was blog hopping, I came across this fun recipe on the Card-A-licious blog....red, black and bling! I used the sorry theme from One Stop Craft Challenge. The "ferns" are embossed and I added the bling to the DP. Don't ya just love that wide lush satiny black ribbon! That was the last piece. :(
Well, the wind is whipping again today but the sun is shining and the temps are in the high 50's, so it does seem like a spring day! We had errands to run again today. All six of us make a list of where we "need" to go and we plot our course. We did pretty well today time wise so I can finally start stamping and visiting blogs again. I missed you all, can't wait to see what you did this past weekend!! Blessings!

Check it out!

My sweet friend Karen of KareNStampZ has honored me with this lovely award! She has such beautiful creations on her blog! She's also running a great "series" right now...she lives in New Zealand and is a SU! lady...since the stamps they just have retiring are the stamps we had retired awhile back....she is showcasing her creations using those stamps. It's great to see them and if you have some of them, she is offering much inspiration...with an elegant touch! I hope all that made sense! Just pop over to her blog and check it out...you won't be disappointed! :)
Thank you Karen, I appreciate you and all you do!
Blessings!

Pollycraft Lovebirds

Gosh, I can be so scatterbrained at times. I forgot to post this one to the 'ol blog....it was over in my SCS gallery for Tuesday's color challenge, CC208. I used Sue's lovely sketch from the Pollycraft Challenge blog. These sweet lovebirds are a free download from Pollycraft...aren't they adorable?
I (me, myself & I) have a playdate today with a sweet friend who just purchased a Cricut. I can't wait to try it out!
Now to the card:
The colors for this little pc are choc chip, passion pink and old olive. The DP is K&co, the image Pollycraft. I embossed the old olive then sponged with cocoa. The coloring is done with Prisma markers and the flower is the boho punch from SU! The sentiment is from a $bin. Thanks for stopping by for a little visit. My prayer for you today is over-riding peace to you, know you are cared for and loved by one who is not swayed by circumstances but is moved only by LOVE! :) Blessings!

Janet has Candy!
