Oo-la-la...

Don't ya just love the black/white/pink color combo?? The lovely ladies over @ the Res-Q-challenge choose this color combo this week along with some diamond-y bling! (bet ya can't guess which luvlee lady's turn it was to pick?!)

My bling is the glittery DCWV DP. The supersized flower also has sparkles but most of them are on the backside...didn't understand that??! That sweet little black flower is a crocheted creation from Willow Bird Creations (Rachel Ellen Chadwick), I rec'd it in some happy mail! The flower center is a supersized brad!

I've been busy packing for vacation, but not too busy to checkout some challenges...
Res-Q challenge-pink/white/black w/bling!
The Pink Elephant-sketch
The Creative Belli challenge-Jumbo brads
Daring Cardmakers-supersize embellies
OCC-your fav colors
My Time to Craft-blk/white+one other color!
How fun is that?!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is a lovely one!
Many Blessings!

Bird day!

Are you a bird? Then this is your day!
Dare U 2 Digi challenged us to use 'things with wings'!
Well, when I saw this Dustin Pike image I knew I had my winged thing! He has so many fun images...if you would like a chance to WIN some, be sure to play along with the Digital Tuesday Challenge this week. Pike is our sponsor and the winner will choose 3 of his downloads! How cool is that?!
I used the sketch from Sketch & Stash with my image being the NEW stash! And the theme over at Stamping B's was birds, more like cranes...but any bird will do! This is a man card so the embellies are limited! I did CB the scraps of DP for interest! The sentiment is CG! Oh, and the bird panel is popped! I just love the look on his face!
And for all you bird watchers out there, I know these are not the proper colors for a cardinal, forgive me! :)
I hope you are enjoying your day....with a grateful heart! Many blesssings to you!

Digital Tuesday Challenge #4 Welcome Spring!

Here is my DT card for the Digital Tuesday Challenge #4!

Who doesn't love a bunny?!
This is Rebecca Rabbit from Digital Stamp Oasis! She was pushing an egg wagon for Easter but after a little digital altering she now is pushing daisies! lol Welcome Spring!
Yet another reason to enjoy digis, making them work for you! The digi spring flowers come from a very generous Tami Mayberry! I used the sketch from Stamps & Smiles, love their sketches!! The DP was a scrap but inspired the color scheme of bashful blue and celery green. I used prismas & SU! pastels. The faux brads are glittered cs.
Some other challenges to look into...the One Stop Craft challenge was to use something new...technique, product etc. Well my images are brand new and combining digi stamps from different companies/people is new for me! Also, the Daily Art Stop's theme for inspiration was 'the earth'! So, how fun was that?!

I hope you have a chance to play along with your digital stamps! It's the only requirement to participate in the Digital Tuesday Challenge! Need more inspiration? Checkout the other design team samples on the DTC blog! Have a super sparkly day! Abundant blessings to all who read here!

TIOT #16 Friends Forever!

Just look at these little Sweethearts!

I was inspired by my youngest son & daughter (though they are both redheads...if didn't match the color scheme! lol) They love this warm weather and having been playing outside for hours everyday! Friends forever!

It's time for another Try It Out Tuesday over on Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart! And Suzanne, our lovely design team leader gave us an awesome challenge to only use part of a stamped image on our project. Whether we crop it, cut it or cover it, only half of the image can show! Isn't that a great challenge...made me think! Then I saw Tamara's challenge over on Sketches and I knew exactly what to do. I chose to 'cover it' because cutting off my little Sweetheart's legs seemed cruel and barbaric! I didn't want to make this a girlie card so I thought the Loonie Stamper's color challenge last week was ideal; red, black & kraft! The random stamped swirli-ma-jig is from an retired SU! set called sketch it! The Sweethearts are colored using Prismas. I hope you have a chance to play along with this fun challenge!
Don't forget to checkout the SPECIALS section at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design for some 50% off discounts!!!

Hope you are enjoying your day! Blessings!

We had absolutely beautiful weather over the weekend...another reason I wasn't at the craft table....the temps were in the 90's, that's swimsuit weather!!!! Have to get the string bikini out!!! :) Have a wonderful Monday and I'll see you tomorrow! Blessings!!!

May Flowers

April showers bring May flowers, well we had lots of showers, so..........

Here's another Penelope digi stamp from Pollycraft. The lovely Pops choose orange for the Pollycraft challenge this week, I love orange, it's so bright and cheery!

I colored her with Prismas & SU! markers and drew some 'Charlie Brown' grass. The DP is MME, the flowers-retro punch and CB'd, parts of a sizzix swirl, leaves-MSpunch, brads SU and the MS scallop punch for my edges.

I wanted to play along in the Scrappy Frog challenge whose theme is 'It's Spring' and the Stamp Something challenge 'Showers/Flowers. And I added my decorative edge for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge-'Getting Edgy'! Fun stuff! Well, today promises to be quite busy so I'll will be visiting you tonight to look at all your beautiful creations! Know that you are loved and cared for.......and BE BLESSED!

A Corner Bookmark from a Sweetheart!

Here's something new for me...a corner bookmarker. As before, I've seen plenty of them but never made one. Well, I saw a fabulous tutorial from Aud over @ Follow Your Heart, she made it look so easy, so I gave it a try! She decorated the backside so I did too! (the pink corner slides over the page corner, if you're unfamiliar with this type)

I used pink, white and black from the Colour Create challenge; the pink ultra sparkly DP is DCWV spring glitter pack. The polka dot stripe on the back was scraps from a Summer Driggs digi download. My Anki Sweetheart is Julia with Flowers available at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design shop exclusively! Isn't she sweet? I thought everytime Grandma uses her bookmark she will be reminded of one of her sweet little granddaughters or great granddaughters ready to give her some sparkly flowers! (not that grandmas need reminded!) Also, the Crafty Creations challenge this week is to make a bookmark!! I hope you give it a go, especially if you've not made a corner bookmark before...be sure to checkout Aud's awesome tutorial!!!

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back shortly with another fun digi card for Spring...weather forecasts a very nice day today in the mid-seventies...my cold toes can't wait to enjoy that!

Blessings to you!!!

***Note:

While you're over at SCACD's shop be sure to checkout the "SPECIALS" section for some whopping 50% off stamps and other goodies!

And there's still time to win some FREE stamps by completing the sketch challenge over in the www.PaperCraftPlanet.com (PCP) SCACD group!

Keeping it Simple!

Ok, I needed a quick birthday card! I was inspired by Dare U 2 Digi's challenge to use pink & green and a digi stamp. I took the Technostampers Mon. Lunchtime sketch and made it my own and in keeping it super simple qualified for the ABC's K challenge! That was easy!
The DP is K&co and I can not remember where I downloaded this sweet image from...if anyone knows please let me know as to give proper credit. I usually add the company/person with the download title, but not this time! Sorry! The SU! colors are regal rose and gable green.
My kids always give an opinion on my creations, which I appreciate, but this time my daughter asked why this cute little angel had olives on her feet. I had to look at the pix again, yea, they do look a little like olives! lol
Enjoy your day! Many blessings to each of you lovelies!!!!

A Magnolia for Mother

Ok, you were all talking about the new challenge Just Magnolia, so I just had to play along too! We can combine challenges with this one, so it's right up my alley! The clincher however, was the posted sketch by Donalda, just lovely! I flipped the sketch on it's side to fit my image a little better! I had so much fun coloring this!
The papers are K&co and I used prismas and SU! barely banana for the pretty pale yellow.
The Res-Q-Challenge this week called for glitter,(wings and brads) I think I used glitter on every card this week! lol The Pink Elephant's challenge was to recycle or make something for mom, so I made a Mother's Day card! And the color inspiration came from the lovely ladies at Roses on Paper; aqua, peach and butter.
Today is cool and very windy but the sun is shining, the grass is bright green (after our heavy rains over the last few days) and the flowering trees & bushes are in bloom....a beautiful time of year! Hope you are enjoying your day! Blessings!!

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!

Have you enjoyed nature today? Celebrated this wonderful brown, green and blue planet we live on? How do stampers celebrate Earth Day???? With a card of course! This card is also to celebrate becoming a design team member of the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog! yeah! I'm really enjoying digi stamps and that is the only requirement for participating in the weekly Digital Tues challenges. We set a theme and you must use at least one digi stamp (from any company!), easy peasy, huh? The prize is free digis from The Digital Stamp Oasis! This weeks theme is a color challenge: brown, green +one color of your choice (white/cream as a neutral) I hope you have a chance to play along!
I choose blue for my "other" color and used papers from K&co. The FREE digi image is from the very generous Nicole at Inky Impressions. Thank you Nicole, this makes a wonderful Earth Day card! This little fairy is colored with prismas and is just right for Danni's Flutter By Wednesday challenge. The sketch is from Card Patterns!

So, as I said, I celebrated Earth day with this card but we also planted 4 trees in the yard, then the teenaged boys helped two other neighbors plant some trees...

Looking at these pix, my oldest sons are like night & day. #2 son is wearing a cap & work boots and #1 son is barefoot with a tee shirt on! lol Each a true blessing!

Have a glorious day! I be back with another FREE digi stamp...I'm desparately trying to figure out where I downloaded it from so as to give proper credit!
Blessings!!!

Blooms, Cupcakes and Scripture!

I had so much fun making this card...this is my of my fav color combos!!!
The sketch is from Stamps & Smiles...such a lovely sketch blog! I wanted to make a card to encourage a friend so I knew I would be using scripture, then I saw the Corrosive Challenge and their theme-to focus on words....perfect! I found two new (to me) challenges that I also wanted to incorporate; Paper Blooms had a delicious recipe to follow: Blooms, Bling, Butterfly, Brown and a "B" sentiment. How fun is that?!!! And talk about another delicious challenge...try the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge over @ Hope Stamps Eternal! As if cupcakes in and of themselves were not inspirational enough, Rachel shows us some magnificent ones to inspire our art! yum!
I tried to use as many decorative cuts on my card for my lovely friend Donna who choose that theme over @ the One Stop Craft Challenge! How'd I do Donna? {waving} The scallops are a MS punch, the swirl is sizzix, the circles are made with the Creative Memories cutting system and the 3-layer butterflies are also a MS punch! I used SU! dazzling diamonds for the bling, I love that stuff...wonder if you can buy it in bulk???? The blue DP is also SU! and the brown is from a bargain store. The scripture sentiment is SU! elegant inspirations stamp set! I hope you're having a great day. It was all rainy and windy yesterday and last night...today is a little dreary but the grass is such a bright green this morning and growing. It will soon be time to mow the lawn (which has a whole new meaning to me because of Allison F.) Enjoy your day! Many Blessings to you!!!

Can You Say Sparkles?!

I really glam-ed this card! It's time for another Try It Out Tuesday (TIOT) over at Follow Your Heart, the SCACD store blog! The theme is bling...lots of it!!! So I used Alicia the Fairy, one of Anki's Sweethearts! She's colored with prismas and her wings are glitter-ized! The DPs are from DCWV's glitter stack and spring glitter pack! I dotted Kaiser rhinestones in the corners and on the prima flower center, even the ribbon is shimmery! Quite magical....as the sentiment notes!

I hope you get a chance to play along with the TIOT challenge....do you like bling and sparkle????

Also, there are some huge discounted specials going on right now at Susana's; the uber cute Smirk stamps are 50% off check it out!!!

I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and the color inspiration is from Stamp Something!

I've been in a stamping frenzy and have lots to show you but I'll try to space them out so as not to spoil you with five posts in one day! lol Thank you all so much for your positive comments on my muslin experiment. You've given me the confidence to dive into all sorts of fun stuff now! Be blessed!

An Experiment....

Ok, so I took a little blog break over the wknd and then I tried playing around with some new "stuff"! The flower wagon is a die cut, the DP is K&co and the layer in between is a pc of muslin bandage! The ladies at the Saturday Workout blog challenged us to use muslin and this is way out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to give it a go...ya know, keep things exciting, right?! I also used a rub on but then covered most of it with the muslin, you can see it on the edges through the middle! The sketch is from the Limelight challenge. The other challenges I tried to incorporate were: ABC's letter J for jagged, Cute Card Thursday's theme -flowers, Stamping B's-die cuts and The Pink Elephant's color challenge of pink, green& yellow! With some practice and maybe a little more thought I could be inspired to try using the muslin again, I thought it was a pretty cool idea!

I tried another really cool idea that actually worked, but I'm saving that for later! :)

Thank you for stopping by and being patient with me while I step out of my box! Abundant Blessings to you!!!

Mini Pizza Box

Here's a fun little project! A mini pizza box, have you ever made one? I've seen them but never took the time to make one, until today....Christine did a fabulous tutorial over on the Follow Your Heart blog. I just took some scrap paper and followed along! Easy peasy and made a box...then I did it "for real" and made this little set! I stuck with all Stampin' Up for this one. I started by stamping the cherries with this SU tart & tangy stamp set but it looked too busy so I went with the strawberry....now I'm hungry for some sweet strawberries!! I just flipped the punched circle over and stamped on the other side, that's way paper has two sides, right? The ribbon was actually two pieces of scrap snipped from another bow. It wasn't long enough so I took the one pc and wrapped it around and the other pc I tied around the first to make a little knot. The little card & red layers are made from the left over box cardstock...quite the "GREEN" card, using up all the scraps! I'll stamp some images and use this set for a little birthday gift.

I used The Corrosive Challenge sketch, Stamp With Us' theme of birthday, A Spoonful of Sugar's request for punches or dies and Simon Says-Recycle! Well, that's it for this post, I really hope you try the mini pizza box. It will make you feel empowered to have done something new!

Have a blessed day!

Anki's Sweethearts...Cathrine the Vet!

Hi Everyone, I have another Anki's Sweetheart to show you today...Cathrine the Vet. Isn't she sweet! I can't believe we're halfway through April already, and that means I'm halfway along in introducing you to all ten Sweethearts! They are available exclusively at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design shop. Purchase the set of ten for a great savings of $16.50! What a deal!
I used the colors from Color Throwdown-ruby red, basic gray and baja breeze. The sketch is from Sketch & Stash with my new stash being the stamp and the paw print ribbon (thank you Sammi!!!) The Daily Art Stop gave us a inspiration theme of cats/dogs....I have so many more ideas for that one! I used Prisma & SU! markers and a little blending to achieve a baja look to my blue! The sentiment was CG and the DP is K&co! Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back in a little bit with a fun new project! Blessings!

A Few of My Favorite Things...

Happy Thursday Everyone! Today is going to be beautiful, temps in the high 50's and sunshine! My daughter just planted onions in the garden and my hubby has the boys helping him outside. Ya gotta love homeschooling and having the family together! The kids did most of their schoolwork early this morning, will spend most of the day outside then finish up school later this afternoon!

I did want to take the time to share this card I did last night and this morning, I ripped this baby apart more than once but I'm pleased with it now and the recipient will never know they caused me this much trouble! lol

the challenges...

Our Creative Corner-sketch, I mirror-ed it!

Colour Create-coffee, cream, choc-any shade of choc is my fav!!!

Flutterby Wed challenge-use a flutter, of course and punches this week.

Dutch Dare-use your favorite things; stamps, colors, papers etc. - I used my fav colors, my fav punch and one of my fav stamp sets from Little Yellow bicycle (Sharon Ann's collection, elegant).

Here's a close up of the 5 layer butterfly, though choc brown is a bit hard to see!

I'm off to try some new....

A Bee-utiful Day!

Isn't this the cutest bee? It's a Dustin Pike image! I was blog hopping and saw his Easter bunnies...too adorable and followed links to find this little fellow, downloaded him and popped him on my card! Perfect for the Stamping B's new challenge; to use a bee!
I colored him with Prisma markers and the papers are MS, added glitter and some raindrops. I didn't want to use too much black so I smudged some gray pastels on his face and arms....what color are bee's arms????
The sketch is from Sketch Saturday and since there's sparkle (isn't there always sparkle?) I'm playing along with Crafty Creations challenge this week!
Blessings!!!

Creative Belli Challenge Guest Design Card!

Let's celebrate!
I'm the guest designer this week for the Creative Belli challenge#63 which is dry embossing! I was so excited when Chris contacted me! Thank you Chris!!!!
I had this card idea and was going to make a pretty girlie pink birthday card, however my gorgeous teen daughter reminded me not all girls are "into" pink! Ok, I can handle that, though with a male ratio of 2:1 in our house it's fun to make pink girlie cards!!! Oh, well, switch gears...so I choose these colors to go along with the Res-Q challenge colors. The have some different recipes to choose from this week for their challenge so hop over and check it out! I also thought since I was using this DRSdesigns Cutie Pie Kid I would participate in their birthday creations challenge this week! This cute image was from the lovely Vicki over on Stamped Smiles....thank you so much Vicki!!!! The sketch was inspired by Friday Sketchers #47!
I CB'd the baja breeze card base and sponged bashful blue to enhance the design. I punched a barely banana scalloped circle then attached a green galore circle and finally a white swiss dot CB'd circle. Cutie Pie is colored with matching SU markers, cut & popped. Glitter was added to the balloon and yellow accents. Matching ribbon and glitter brads finish off this non-pink girlie card!
Again, I'd like to thank Chris and the Creative Belli DT for allowing me to share your space this week! Blessings!

Chrissy has Candy!!!

Isn't this a gorgeous Sweet & Sassy stamp set? If you want a chance to win it.....hurry over to Chris' blog; Creating with Chrissy and enter her blog candy!!!

Wild Thing in Orange & Brown!

Here's something new for me....stickers! While craft shopping the other week I saw these awesome sparkly stickers and had to have them!!! I didn't know what I was going to do with them but needed them. Well, when the lovely Donna choose the challenge this week on Secret Crafter Sat, I knew my stickers had a destiny! Donna not only provided this fabby sketch but also a color combo of orange & brown. yeah! I used MME papers and some gold shimmery ribbon. The sentiment Wild is a rub on! I did use one stamp...the branch, it's from Clear Dollar Stamps just nutty set. It's so shiny and shimmery IRL! Saturday Surprise issued a challenge this week~Wild Things and the Crazy Amigo challenge's theme was nature. All great challenges for inspiration, check them out!! Hope you all had a fabulous Tuesday!!! Abundant Blessings to you!!

Anki's Sweetheart; Alicia

Here's another one of Anki's Sweethearts, Alicia. I love pink & brown together don't you?! I felt as if I were playing with paper dolls when I made this card...her sweet little pink outfit is paperpieced using some Creative Memories papers. Today is Try It Out Tuesday at SCACD's store blog, Follow Your Heart! It's a sketch and color challenge! Check it out!

I used pink pirouette and v. vanilla cs. The DP is from American Traditional Designs road trip collection. The vanilla is CB'd and sponged with cocoa. Not quite sure I'm happy with this one, I think the oval could have been smaller and maybe a scalloped edge instead of all the layers that made the oval even bigger. The ribbons are from my stash and the flowers are actually from a little girls "dress up" dress. Quite appropriate for Crafty Creations challenge to use something recycled! Cute Card Thursday also wanted to see this wonderful pink & brown combo!!

I'm trying to get the 'ol mojo flowing, but the weekend was so lovely and relaxing ( I extended mine into Monday!!). I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and is enjoying getting back to work and routine now! yeah right, huh?! lol Sending you all smiles and hugs.....Blessings!

Easter Blessings!!

A Distressed Penelope!

Here's another Pollycraft Penelope digi stamp, I just love her hair! I'm really enjoying the versatility of digi stamps and papers right now!!
She's water colored with lid inks and glam'd up a bit with sparkles. I was going for the shabby chic look...how'd I do? :) The stitching is faux and I throw a button on to challenge myself! The first three layers of cardstock (cs) are distressed using my scissor blade and ink, the DP (K&co) and image layer are torn and inked. More than a few challenges inspired me (you knew that was coming!)
Pollycraft Monday Ch. was to use one of their downloads. Stacey's Jewelry Color Inspiration was for choc chip, rose red, sage shadow, summer sun and white. Dare U2 Digi wanted to see bling (I love bling). Ashley's Etsy Inspired Challenge was a wonderful little shop called Make Mine Mud By Little Miss Pottery and my inspiration came from this tray! One Stop Craft Ch.'s theme was torn, that's always fun. A fabulous new challenge Digital Tuesday wanted to see our digital images in shabby chic style. It's only the second challenge issued by Ellie and there's plenty of time to play along! And finally, the sketch is from the talented ladies over at Stamps & Smiles! I'm tellin' you, there is a challenge out there for everyone!!!!

Ok, this is the last post for today, it'll have to hold ya over until Monday! :)
Have a glorious weekend! Easter Blessings!

Faerie Song Art Stamps

Look at that sweet face! This is Elly from the Faerie Song Art stamps sold at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design shop! When I saw Kerry's color challenge over on Three Clovers Design I knew I had to use Elly! Aren't these colors delish?!! I used Susana's (SCACD) April sketch, you can find it over on the PCP-SCACD site and if you choose to play along, you could win some FREE stamps!!! Oh, there's a twist to go with this sketch....

SU! word window punch and sentiment SU!'s so many sayings! Pretty straight forward, I didn't do the embellishment part of the challenge this time. Thanks for stopping by! Easter Blessings!!!

A Very Purple Card!

Charisma Cardz challenged us to use purple & green, so I challenged myself to use my untouched cardstock in glorious green & orchid opulence....yeah, how often do you use yours?????????
I was pleasantly surprised with the result! The clincher was some digi paper I found on my thumb drive, I think it's from funky fairy. A lovely friend was over the other night and she had some Angel Co stamps, isn't this little guy adorable! I used CPS's sketch, and Lili of the Valley Ch. had a theme of humor/fun, so I thought this bunny looked fun and the sentiment was perfect for what I needed to say! Look, I actually did the inside of a card. Go easy on me, this is one of my first "insides" but that's what

the ABC challenge wanted to see! I had a flow of mojo this morning so I'll be posting more later. I'm baking today and will be taking a break tomorrow, I can't believe Easter is here! Easter Blessings to you all!!!!

Easter Treat Holder

Here's a sweet little treat! I had to exercise portion control on this treat though because I didn't score it quite right, oh well, it worked out in the end!

I do not have nesties yet :( so I had to hand cut my white label panel from a download pattern. I square punched the summer sun & celery DSP and layered them on the label before running it through the CB.

The egg shaped oval is white cs layered with swiss dot CB'd vellum and the sweet PennyBlack bunny (from the lovely Allison, thank you so much Allison!) is colored with pastels. Pretty easy peasy but quite effective!

Now for the challenges....
Sketch &Stash=the sketch & new image,
Cupcake Crafter=folds, more than two,
Creative Belli=cello bag,
PennyBlack=Easter,
KaboodleDoodles=anything but a card,
OCC=Easter,
Creative Inspiration=yellow&green Easter,
Cuttlebug Challenge=vellum Easter,
Stamp Something=shapes, 2 or more
Daily Art Stop=anything!

Whew, I worked really hard to incorporate all the challenges (I challenged myself)but that was fun!!!
Happy Good Friday!
Thank you Jesus for what you chose to do for us!
Have a wonderful weekend.....I hope you all know you are cared for and loved! Blessings!

A Twisted Thursday Hummingbird!

I created this sweet card for the Twisted Thursday challenge, this time the twist was a sketch AND specific colors, pink, olive & purple! (mine=pixie pk, old olive & lovely lilac) The DPs are MME everyday tango. I wanted all to match so I used the coordinating SU! markers to color with a little Prisma pencil & Pearl Ex on my lovely hummingbird! The images were a FREE download from Squigglefly. I resized, cut and pasted until I had two separate images to print, then I cut out the bird and popped him! The sentiment is from SU! refuge & strength. I used sizzix swirls for the pink on pink bottom panel and look! I forced myself to use a button. Just happened to have one that matched (IRL) and threaded it through with olive floss!
This card was also made for Karen over at Crafty Goings On who is offering the 72 Copics as candy! Check it out!
Blessings!

Happy Bithday to You!

Happy Birthday Mom Matter!!!!!!!!

Today is my MIL's birthday! This is her card, I hope she likes it!!!

I used SU! upsy daisy inked in pumpkin pie and dusted with yellow pearl ex for the shimmer.

Since today is Flutter by Wednesday, I knew I wanted to use this stamp and accent it with pretty little flutters! I used Charisma Cardz sketch and these lemony fresh colors were inspired by two different challenges; Cute Card Thursday wanted citrus colors and the Res-Q-Challenge wanted to see "muddy" brown and....well, pop over to read their inspired color story!!!! :) I muddied up my white embossed background just for them!!! The little yellow dots are punched from my crop-o-dile. Just the right size!!

Well, I hope my MIL is enjoying her day so far! (personal note for Susan...we'll pop over later for a visit, hehe)

Blessings!

A Stampin' Up card!

Here's a little spring colored note card 4.5"x4.5"! Ya know what's unique about this one???? It's almost all Stampin' Up! ('cept the sizzix swirls!)
The cardstock is So Saffron used for the base, layers, swirls and flower. The DSP is Delicate Dots from the sale-a-bration mini catty. The flower is from the Eastern Blooms set, it's stamped in bashful blue. I used my retro flower punch for the flower, it's not an exact match but it works! It gives my pretty posy a french manicure! Also, I ran the top flower layer through the CB (flowers?) to give it a little texture. The center is sprinkled with dazzling diamonds!! The sentiment is from So Many Sayings. What fun! Do you love to use your SU! products? Then I found a new challenge for you! Stamp with Us! They just launched their first challenge...a sketch! Check it out for all the details!
So many challenges, so little time! Have fun! Blessings!

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Something!

Isn't this a sweet bunny, I just fell in love when I saw him! He was designed by Ellie Lash(.com) She is so talented and I adore her images and papers! This was a free download, which was perfect for the new digi challenge Dare U 2 Digi! They provided the sketch! The papers are SU! pixie pink and sage shadow, the DP is k&co! The retro flower lg & sm was layered and CB'd, MS punch for the leaves! The sentiment is a sticker! I so wanted to use a button for the flower center but I couldn't bring myself to do it! I'll practice using buttons, then one day I'll surprise you!

This little cutie also makes a perfect Easter card which was the theme for Stamp Something! I still have to go Easter candy shopping! There's a reason I wait to the last minute to bring all that chocolate into the house! The kids are fortunate if they find choc bunnies Easter morning and not Easter squirrels!!!! (choc bunnies with ears chewed off by deserving mothers!)

Hope you're having a lovely day! Blessings!

TIOT #13 Spring...New Life!

I can't believe this weekend is Easter! And my baby turns eleven on Good Friday...what a great weekend this will be!
Here's a sweet Easter card, I used another Sweetheart; Catherine with Butterfly! Butterflies always signify new life; a glorious new creation, how appropriate for Easter! This is the theme today for Try It Out Tuesday Challenge #13! I hope you have a chance to play along!
Catherine is colored with Prisma markers, she's cut and popped on an oval of CB'd swiss dots. The papers are K&co, the sentiment is CG, the butterfly is the MS punch with a trail of Kaiser rhinestones! The other day on Susana's Custom Art & Card Design store blog, Follow Your Heart, design teammate Danni did a fabulous tutorial on faux stitching, so I included some on this card! While you're checking out her tutorial, don't forget to enter the Elisabeth Bell blog candy Susana is offering! Yum!
This little sweetie incorporated some addition challenges, The Pink Elephant gave us a recipe: stamps, embossing & punches. One Stop Craft Challenge wanted to see stitching while Secret Crafter Sat challenge wanted to see stripes! The Corrosive Challenge's theme was Easter/Spring also. (I just received my awesome winnings from their #4 challenge! Thank you Janet!)
I think that's it for this post. I did find a few more new challenges (hehe, I love a challenge) but I'll save those for next time, this post is long enough!!! Praying your day is NOT challenging but glorious and joyful! Blessings!

Isac and Elisabeth Bell candy!

Good Monday Morning!

Well, I had a chance to take a little break over the weekend and I'm up and ready to go today! I had the chance to craft shop over the weekend, we enjoyed a refreshing church service, had some great fellowship time, went out to eat a few times and picked up our oldest son from his weekend retreat! A fab weekend was had by all!

So, this morning I wanted to start off with another introduction and some awesome news for you!!!

This is little Isac with his skateboard, another of Anki's Sweethearts, aren't they just dear?! I kept this rather simple since it's a boy card, only adding a little texture as requested by the lovely ladies @ the Creative Card Crew! The papers are, you guessed it, K&co, I'm working my way through that 300 pc pack! The star punches are SU! I used pastels for coloring. Isac can be purchased at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design store, check the Sweethearts out and the other lines of stamps Susana carries!

Now for some really fun news....

Remember I told you there was Elisabeth Bell Blog Candy coming....well, today's the day! As you may know Susana had the honor of being chosen for 1 of 4 companies to carry exclusive images by the amazing Artist ©Elisabeth Bell! WooHoo, so she's celebrating now with a wonderful chance to win some yummy candy....check it out on the store blog, Follow Your Heart. It's easy peasy to enter!!!

Wow, That's Different!

Now, for something completely different!
Burgandy, gray and bright yellow...those were the recent colors Stacey challenged us to use for her Jewelry Challenge! Now that's a challenge!
The verse is another FREE download from Sammi of Crafty Muse! (thank you Sammi for your generosity!)
I used the sketch from the Cupcake Craft challenge. The fern image is a retired SU! set; Definitely Decorative Ferns (2001) and the butterfly, dusted with yellow Pearl Ex, is from Hot off the Press~Flights of Fancy.
It's very different isn't it? I'm still deciding if I like it!!

A Crafty Muse Easter

Simon Says use yellow and green! (and maybe a little blue?) So I did for their very first challenge. The challenge runs for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to play along! This sweet digi stamp came from the lovely Sammi over @ Crafty Muse. She so generously provided some freebies so everyone could play along in the Craft Muse challenge to create an Easter project! (Thank you Sammi!) I choose this sweet Milly Rose image for my card, aren't those ears cute!!! If you need help understanding how to download digis, just email me. The Pink Elephant theme this week was Easter also. The sketch is from the Twisted Thursday challenge, the twist was to use embossing. I took the easy route and used some DCWV embossed/glitter paper...love the sparkle! Milly Rose is colored with prisma markers.
Went craft shopping today with a friend...I was in a glittery mood today and bought more sparkle stuff! I don't know if I'll use it or just look at it as it sparkles in the sunshine {oooo, ahhh}, so pretty! Life's more fun when it....sparkles! Praying you sparkle today from the inside out!!!! Blessings!!!

A Card and Elisabeth Bell Candy Coming!

Good day!
I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend. My oldest son will be off at a youth retreat this weekend. He'll be playing the bass guitar with the worship band. Too cool!

I want to introduce you to another of Anki's Sweethearts...this is Emilia. She comes with the heart, though I chose to stamp her twice, on the red cs and on white so I could cut and pop her. She's colored with oil pastels and pencils. I used the SCS color challenge CC212 pink pirouette, riding hood red and choc chip for inspiration. My talented design team buddy Danni of Danni's Dreams has the weekly Flutter By challenge (to use butterflies or fairies) and this week we were to refrain from using DP. Well, since you can easily make your own DP I chose to go with hearts and butterflies for accents. I used pink on pink for the butterflies, you can see them if you blow up my pix and the little pink hearts, both are from the Flights of Fancy set from Hot off the Press. There are 19 stamps in the set; angel & butterfly wings, crowns, hearts and butterflies, I love that you can put wings on any image! The Crazy Amigo challenge also called for butterflies this week. The sketch is from the Beary Box challenge, you have until Sunday morning to participate. I actually won a Sarah Kay stamp recently from that challenge, I can't wait until it arrives! Ya can't win if you don't play!!! And the ABC challenge is at the letter H for hearts. So there ya go! Lots of fun to be had!

The above stamps can be purchased at Susana's store! She also has the new Spellbinders in, along with bundles of copics and the memento inks...one stop shopping!

Card Patterns #8

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood~Mr. Rogers

We're enjoying a beautiful day today, sunshine and a light breeze. It's wonderful to have the doors open and let some fresh air in the house!!!
I whipped up this little baby this afternoon, now we're headed out for some shopping! yeah!
I was inspired by the sketch on Card Patterns and used the color challenge from Loonie Stampers! The One Stop Craft Challenge was set by the lovely Paula, she choose 'Bling-tastic', who doesn't love bling?! I added rhinestones under the sentiment and sparkled the daisies and this Tilda's wings with glitter! The base card is MS papers and embossed (textile folder). My sweet Magnolia is colored with markers and pastels, cut and popped. Her lovely head rests upon a swiss dot embossed circle. The MS butterfly is layered for added dimension!
Fun!
I hope you're enjoying your day...prayers for peace, and overwhelming love to each of you! Blessings!!!
