Going Nuts!

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes ya don't! Does anyone remember that candy bar jiggle for a Mounds bar? Or am I really dating myself???

Well, today I felt like a nut! So I used a Nutshell image from The Nutcrafters! Isn't she the prettiest little thing?! There's a bunch of Nutshells and they're all this cute! You just have to pop over and check it out!

But wait, there's more...a new Nutshell blog! And to celebrate they're offering some fantastic candy! I can see you're drooling now, you want one of these cuties right now, don't you???? Well, they are also having a dt call and being a generous bunch (of nuts) they have created an exclusive image and sketch for you to try out! How cool is that????

I had such fun making this card! After seeing all the layers I went for some coordinating digi papers from Summer Driggs Beautimous collection. The flowers on the blue panel are embossed and smudged with SU! white craft ink. The ultra sparkly flowers are K&co and I colored with Prisma markers. A little sparkle, a little bling and a uber sweet image...perfect!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Blessings for peace and much love!!!!

Ahhhhh, Springtime!

Here's a sweet little note card!

This lovely image was a free download from Tracey over on the Fred, She Said blog! How cool is that!

I wanted to use the current Sketch & Stash sketch, it's so pur-ty and I've been seeing such great creations with it all over blogland! The colors were inspired by Color Throwdown; bordering blue, eggplant and barely banana. I think they are very springy! Though the lt yellow is very hard to photograph, seemed washed out! The Banana Split Sunday challenge, over @2 Red Bananas, was to use flowers, and where there's flowers, there's flutters! Danni's Flutterby challenge is to include brads or eyelets with your flutter. I had envisioned doing something with eyelets but that didn't happen this time! The lovelies over @Crafty Creations also wanted butterflies this week! There are a few details to this baby that you can't see...a petal on the flower is popped out, the butterfly is layered like an oreo (with vellum in between) and I used royal purple Shimmerz to hightlight the pretty petals on the flower! (I won the Shimmerz from a Crafty Creations challenge!) Can't win if ya don't play along!

I hope you had a great week and are enjoying your friday! We have a farmer's market nearby and I'm debating whether to go. The produce available at the market is the same as in our garden BUT they have a "cheese wagon" with fresh FRESH cheese for sale! Oh, it's soooooo good! Did I mention it's fresh? :) Be Blessed!

I've been playing in the paint!

And now for something completely different...
~John Cleese
There is no way I'm going to tell you all the products I used on this card...just know, if it looked old & gold, it's on there!
It all started with a sketch and a vintage theme! Here are the challenges that inspired me...
Twisted Thursday Chall ~ sketch & monochrome (sepia/gold)
Artsy challenge ~gold leaf
Paper Blooms ~resist embossing
Rosie-Dee's ch.~embossed stamping
ABC ch.~pearls
Graphics were provided by The Vintage Moth and The Graphics Fairy! I hope you enjoyed my little experiment in acrylics on paper! Have a sparkly day and be Blessed!

Nap Time

Well, we're backkkkk, again! Ok, no more traveling for awhile now...I'm staying in PA! I will be playing catch up again too!

Isn't this is fun little image? It's a digi from Squigglefly...so it's perfect for the NEW Squigglefly Challenge issued Monday. Kim chose a color challenge this week; bordering blue, pretty in pink and choc chip. I was a bit intimidated by these colors at first, but up for the challenge. Can you believe I actually found this DP in the exact colors?! It's from the DCWV Far East stack. How perfect is that?!

The sketch is from the brand spanking NEW Polka Doodle Challenge! Don't you just love that name, I couldn't resist playing along! And My Time to Craft's challenge this week is for a pink creation! I used my prisma pencils and buttons! (I think my button issue is resolved!)

That's it for today, short & sweet! Praying you all have a lovely day, that you walk in good health and abundant prosperity; take care! Blessings!!!

DTC #8 A Beautiful Pair

Hi ho, it's Tuesday and time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge! This week the uber talented Emma is hosting and has chosen the perfect theme for this time of year...Weddings!

To play, simply use any digi image to create a card/project with a wedding theme! Then hop on over to the DTC blog and link it!

I used a Digital Stamp Oasis/lovebird image, this is my new fav DSO image! I added a little watercolor in blue and green and clear embossed over the whole label. Glitter specs are sprinkled in and dazzling diamonds are around the edges. Very sparkly! Pretty simple design, throw in a MS punch, a CB folder and some ribbon and there ya go! The sentiment is CG! The lt blue & green are from a inexpensive pack of paper I picked up somewhere, I can't believe I had ribbon to match! How cool is that!
I used a few other challenges for design inspiration:
Stamps & Smiles ~sketch, I absolutely love their sketches; Dutch Dare~glitter/bling; Saturday's Workout~sparkling, a great place for some real art inspiration; the Divine Diva Insp challenge is a beautiful set of dishes; the Secret Crafter Sat Challenge~new beginnings and Ashley's Etsy Inspired Challenge~a delightful little soap shop, I took my inspir. from the bluish green soap w/wht circles on her blog! Can you tell I had fun with this one?! I so enjoy hopping all over blogland...so much to see!
I hope you'll play along in the Digital Tue Challenge this week and make a wedding card/project, if you need a little inspiration checkout the rest of the DT's cards:

All For You!

It's Memorial Day!
...remembering all our men & women fighting for our freedom on foreign & domestic soil, some giving the ultimate sacrifice along with all their family members!! God Bless You!
This card came together so easily, that it must be meant to encourage someone! And look, there are even three buttons on it!
The FREE papers are digis from Funky Fairy (pink, Doodlementals add on #1, black from the valentine collections) I came up with the sentiment all by my little self and simply typed it out! The flutter is four layers.
Ready for the challenges....
Funky Fairy ~circles & buttons
Crafty Muse ~white/black + one other color
3 Clovers ~ Black/white + one other color
OCC ~ sentiment as the focus
Flutterby Wed~ a flutter + 2 DPs
I hope you are enjoying your day! While you are reading this...we have been enjoying our weekend with family, friends and lots of food, I'm sure! We've been on the road again too, but only to a neighboring state this time! I will getting back into the "groove" of crafting and blogging come Tuesday! So enjoy the rest of your day and don't forget to stop by the Digital Tuesday Challenge tomorrow! Blessings!

Heyyyyyyyy!

This cracks me up every time I look at it!

(pardon me, while I ROTFL, {snort}) OK...

Can you believe this is a FREEbie from Dustin Pike? Of course you can, he's very generous with his fabulous images! This is such a perfect image too for this card. I have a friend, known him all my life, who lost his job (sad) but was offered a job with a different company "minutes" later (happy).

Again with the masculine card, so no foo-foo here! Plenty of distressing though! I colored with pastels, markers and pencils. I used Shimmerz for the blue puddle of slobber and "snow" for the white stuffing. The tan papers are from SU! DSP and the lt blue is from the scrap pile! The bg stamping is from the It's About Time, SU! retired set. Sentiment's CG as is the inside, shown below!

I had so much fun coloring this, and I'm so happy for my friend, yeah! I think he will enjoy receiving this smile in the mail!

Wishing you all snorts & giggles today.......and much love! Blessings!

Rocking Teen Birthday!

Here's a quickie b'day card for a teen I know! He plays electric guitar with the worship team at our church! I originally bought this H&M stamp set for the guitar but I was able to ink up some of the other stamps when I saw The Corrosive Challenge this week was rock music! The Crafty Creations challenge was to use metal and Paper Blooms gave color inspiration with red, white & blue! The layout was inspired by Laura's #26 sketch over @ 2 Sketches 4 You, though it took on a life of it's own!

Are you getting ready for a "rockin" weekend? We have a few things planned but I hope to be able to craft a little this weekend too, I still feel a bit "removed" since returning from vaca! Abundant Blessings to all who read here!

A Simple Thank You!

"Because of your generosity, we won't be needing one of these!"
This is a little thank you card for my generous BIL for mowing our lawn while we were on vacation! Do you know...no digi stamp company has a goat? I had to find a pix online to alter! geesh! Anyhow, what do ya think? The card is quite plain, but what do you do without flowers, swirls, buttons or bling? yep, it's a boy card!
Now, I knew I was going to make this card before we even returned home, so, can you imagine my surprise when I checked the RES-Q-Challenge this week and their theme was..."honor a mower person" lol, how fun is that! There were a few other rules, like include green and use your fav tool. Mine is definitely my straight cutter, I don't leave home w/out it! The papers are K&co (big surprise right? I should design for that company!) The sentiment is CG, the jute is through two eyelets. I used my pastel crayons, trying to make the goat hair look dimensional, but...well you can see that didn't work. But I think it turned out nice. I just want BIL to know we really appreciate how he blessed us!
I used the CPS sketch and Dare U2Digi theme, one for the boys! Hope you're enjoying your day and know that you're a blessing!

Pollycraft's Cherry Kisses!

Yet another cute digi! How can we bear all this "cute-ness"?! Though I still don't understand the mouth thing!
This pretty little lady was a FREE download from Pollycraft (they are so generous!) They also had a paper download too!
These downloads were perfect for this week's Pollycraft Challenge, flowers!
I chose to use K&co papers for the challenge so I could play along with the wonderful ladies of the Creative Belli Challenge, who have issued a color challenge this time...apricot, cameo coral and celery! I also took inspiration from the Divine Diva Inspiration challenge. It was an inspirational pix of lovely striped/flowered pillows, though that particular challenge ended yesterday and a new one was issued today! And this wonderful sketch came from the lovely Donna over @ the Cupcake Craft challenge.
I distressed the image layers and added some K&co flowers and sizzix swirl pieces. The sentiment is from So Many Sayings, SU and punched with the word window. I used prisma and coordinating SU markers! Pretty basic, but I'm just happy to be home to enjoy my crafting space and my "stuff"! :) Thank you for visiting me today! Many blessings to you!

We're Back!

Well, after a three week vacation we are finally sleeping in our own beds again! We had a lovely time visiting family {waving hi!!!} in Arizona and trekking across this lovely country of ours! (stopping at every rest stop between the east & west coasts!) I'll be sharing more pix later, just trying to catch up on everything!

I'm also trying to find my mojo and see if I remember how to do this crafting thing I so enjoy...and creating those multi-challenge cards I challenge myself to do!

Since my head is still spinning, I decided to use SU's DP, they match and I didn't have to think to much. I used my pretty little kitty from Pink Cat Studios, (altered a bit) and SU markers to match! The sketch is from the PCP Susana's Custom Art & Card Design group (if you want to win free stuff from SCACD checkout the full rules, I just used the sketch part for this card)! I also played along on the Try It Out Tuesday challenge (use flowers) over on the Follow Your Heart blog! The color inspiration came from the yummy Cupcake Insp. Challenge over at Rachel's, Hope Stamps Eternal and since this is a birthday card, I'm playing along with the ladies from A Spoonful of Sugar, who's theme is Celebration! Whew! I think that's it! I'll have to work up to the 6 or 7 challenge cards in one! I hope you enjoy my simple little card and when I find my mojo I'll be using all those goodies I bought & rec'd over the last three weeks!

Thank you all for stopping by! I hope your day is filled with peace and much love....blessings!

DTC #7

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge! Our super talented leader Ellie has challenged us to use 'tags' this week! I made a sweet little tag for Sammy Squirrel to sit on while he's enjoying his sweet, sweet strawberries! This card was pre-vacation & scheduled, hence the embossed flower, the ribbon and the MS scallop punch!
When we left for vacation in April, our strawberry patch was just starting to bloom with little white flowers! I'm hoping we'll have sweet strawberries like Sammy's by the time we return home!!
Our wonderful sponsor this week is the lovely & talented Tracey Lynn Miller, of Fred She Said, who will be giving away 2 sets and one single image....I just love her Emma images! So, I hope you have a chance to play along. Please checkout the rest of the DT's wonderful 'tagged' creations...
Thanks so much for stopping by! I should be back to reality and routine, so I'll be visiting and catching up with you all in these next few days! Missed you all! Blessings for peace and much love over you!

Emma with Butterfly

Isn't this a beautiful image? This is Emma and she's one of the lovely digi images from Fred, She Said! She reminds me of my daughter...when I still dressed her! :) The striped digi paper was a free download from Tracey on the FSS blog, such beautiful creations there! I colored her with my prismas, added a few layered retro flowers with greens and BAM! another vacation card! I think the pastel purples give it a soft look and let's the eye focus on Emma! She has such a sweet face (with a mouth!!!!)

Would you like to own your very own Emma??? Well, the Digital Tuesday Challenge tomorrow is being sponsored by Fred, She Said....so, I hope you have a chance to play along! Just use any digi stamp and follow the theme that Ellie will issue tomorrow! Easy peasy!

Enjoy your day! Blessings!!

Vacation card #2

I'm feeling way out of my element! All my "stuff" is back in PA....but we stamper must forge ahead, so...

Since I don't have all my coloring tools at hand, I went with digi papers and a CG scripture, always a winner!

These are some of the Morris Dance papers from Kaboodle, aren't they luxurious? My trusty flower & leaf punches have traveled with me!

How's this for limited supplies?! Pretty huh?

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate all your well wishes & prayers for our vacation and safe travels across this gorgeous USA!!

Many Blessings to you all!

Ok, It's Hot!

Ok, no matter how you say it, Arizona is hot! Though seeing the bright sunshine everyday is beautiful! Temps have been in the 100's this week! Two ways the guys have been enjoying this vacation...
in the air conditioned gaming room or in the pool! (that's the dads with the Wii guns!)
We're getting ready to wrap it up and hit the road soon! It's been fun but reality calls! (and so does my stamping stuff!)

Digital Tuesday Challenge #6 A Tri-fold Card

Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone has had a good start to their new week! It's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge and this week our lovely Carisa is challenging us to make non-traditional folding cards or non-traditional shapes! How fun is that?!

Our sponsor this week is My Grafico and they are giving away 1 set of digi-stamps (winners choice), so I hope you have a chance to play along!

I used the space set from My Grafico and had fun resizing the images to fit my tri fold card! The stars were created with the SU! small & large star punch! This card is made from a regular 8.5x11 pc of cs. folded in quarters with the top left pc removed and the bottom left quarter cut diagonally. The sentiment is CG. What little guy wouldn't love this zany card? If you need more inspiration and want to see some great folds and shapes, checkout the rest of the design team...

My First Vacation Card...

and talk about limited supplies!!!
I used Ellie Lash digi papers and a Bee Crafty download! I had sense enough to bring my prismas along and the buttons, flower punch and lace I bought during my crafty shopping trip the other day! The sketch is from the Creative Inspiration challenge and I used a Simon Says recipe: 2 papers, 3 buttons & 1 ribbon! A Spoonful of Sugar had a theme of texture and the OCC & CCEE had a Mother's Day theme! I don't have any sentiment stamps with me and I'm not working off my own laptop so I couldn't quite figure out how to put a CG one on the paper to print. So, this one's for you Mom!! Last year when we were vacationing during mother's day, I sent my mom her card (back to PA) and it was lost in the mail then returned to me...not taking the chance this year. "I'll hand it to you in person when I see you again, Mom!"
I hope everyone had a really great week! I haven't had alot of computer time to stay caught up but I am making my way through google reader, very slowly and trying to answer emails. I so miss my blogland routine! But I'm sure once we get home it will all go back to normal! Miss you!!! May you be blessed with peace and much love!

WooHoo!

I just bought my first set of nesties! yeah! There is a Hobby Lobby here in AZ! Actually, there is every store imaginable here, so different from our little country home in PA!!! I bought my first two copics too! Oh, this is fun! Today is a shopping day for the whole family, the kids are making lists of shops they want to visit, should be fun for all! The temps are to be around 103, but it's a dry heat and you really don't mind it much! Abundant Blessings to all who read here!

Today's Digital Tuesday Challenge is Teacher Appreciation! This is little Susie Squirrel from Digital Stamp Oasis, isn't she sweet?!

Susie is colored with prisma markers and oil pastels. I used real red, celery grn and bashful blue, don't they go together nicely?! I love making these layered flowers with the EK retro punch! The Secret Crafter challenge and the Created by Courtney challenge are to use flowers and the Charisma Cardz challenge is to make a thank you creation!

Remember you could win 3 digi stamps from Digital Stamp Oasis if you play along with the Digital Tuesday Challenge this week. Just make a project using any digital stamp for the theme, Teacher Appreciation and enter on the challenge blog! Easy peasy!

Well, back to the pool! lol Hope you're enjoying your day! Blessings that the sun (Son) shines upon your face!!!!

Having fun!

Greetings from Tennessee!
We're having a great travel time! I'm so blessed that the kids get along so well together! Here's a pix at a really cool rest stop in VA, the flowering trees along the way are just gorgeous!
Even though the kids are old enough to have a nice picture taken, they were still goofing around! My oldest has camo shorts on so he blended in with the background, and my youngest though it was funny to hide behind the light post when I snapped the pix! geesh! These wooden stairs went all over a lovely park, so we had ourselves a little hike! Made it to the hotel in time to watch Numbers ( a CBS tv show we all enjoy) Hope you're having a great day wherever you are! Blessings!
