Anki's Sweetheart plays...

... soccor/football! Say hello to Isac, another new Sweetheart image from Anki's 2nd release, exclusively sold at Susana's Custom Art & Card Designs! Think of all the great ways you could personalize him! Apart from making him the appropriate team colors, you could add a number/letter to his shirt even a symbol. How cool would that be?!

Today is Try It Out Tuesday over at Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart! Design team leader, Suzanne, wanted us to use Fourth of July colors this time! I immediately thought of Isac. But instead of using the traditionally bright colors of red/white & blue, I went with more muted shades aiming toward a masculine card! The papers are from Summer Driggs! I used Prisma markers for the bit of coloring! And the only embellishment, an old brass button from my grandma's button jar! It even has a ring of stars on it...a divine find!
Here are the challenges this card hits today...
TIOT~red, white & blue
Stamps & Smiles~sketch
The Corrosive Challenge~'your country' theme
Color Chef~red, white & blue
and
The Pink Elephant~favorite colors, I went with these Americana colors!

Hope you'll hop over to the Follow Your Heart blog and checkout the rest of the beautiful DT creations! Well, that's two posts for me today, so now I'm gonna go put my feet up and eat my bon-bons! Enjoy your day! Praying peace and much love over you! Blessings!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Squigglefly Challenge blog! This week we are making ATC (artist trading cards, 2.5 x 3.5 inches) They're really fun to make and you can swap 'em or use them on a card.

I chose this little celebratory kitty, he's all ready for the upcoming holiday! I simply found a pc of red textured cardstock (it was already torn), printed my Squigglefly kitty in the appropriate size ( I love digis) actually I printed him twice so I could layer it! I used a Studio G $ stamp from Michaels and some gems/glitter/bling. He's colored with Prisma markers! Too fun!

Squigglefly.com is adding new images all the time, our artists are in overdrive!!! And they are soooo affordable, many for under a $! So I hope you can play along today!

Also, we are having a HUGE blog hop Wed, July 1st and Thur, July 2nd.....and there will be prizes!!!! yay! Stay tuned!

I Prayed for You Today!

...and I did pray for you today! That you all would be filled with the joy of the Lord and have fun and celebrate life! It's all good!

So, let's see what we have today! It's a Sweetheart, Cathrine! I just love coloring her though it would be fun to paper piece that dress, wouldn't it?! Our weather has been so beautiful, it's wonderful to just sit outside and enjoy the light breeze! That's what I was thinking Cathrine is probably doing...just enjoying!
She's colored with plain ol' prisma pencils. The SU! cs. colors are pink pirouette & pacific blue. The flower is, of course, Fred, She Said's polka dotty fowers! And the sentiment is from the newly released Trust In The Lord set of digi stamps from The Cutting Cafe!
I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and the colors from The Cottage Rumble! The Cuttlebug Spot gave us a theme of Summertime!
And this is another one for the Charisma Cardz challenge! Fun stuff!

So, did you play along with the June sketch challenge over on Susana's PCP page yet! Just a few more days left in June! You could win any of the single stamps at her store...Susana's Custom Art and Card Design...and she carries many different companies, such as...
Victoria Case

The Cutting Cafe design team!

Let's make a little gift...

I'm so excited to be part of The Cutting Cafe design team and share my very first project with you today! I've taken a plethora of photos so sit back and relax!

I used The Cutting Cafe's... Greeting Card Folder cutting file, along with the All Occasion Circle Word Set 1 Printable Stamps! (1.5in & 2in for the yellow centers)
The digi papers are Summer Driggs Moment collection! And the SU! supplies include, cardstock in olive & rose red and the scallop punch. The folder holds four cards and envelopes. There's room on the inside pocket to write a little note to the recipient or put a greeting! So what do ya think, pretty fun stuff, huh?
I am so impressed with all the awesome printables 'the Cafe' has and this wonderful opportunity Regina has given me to play with them....I feel truly blessed! Check it out, I know you'll find 'that one thing' you've been looking for!
Now, you all know, I couldn't have a post without challenges, so look what I found...
Stampin' For the Weekend~pocket/wallet cards.
The Corrosive Challenge~more folds!
Creative Inspirations(Mon)~ anything but a card. And a different challenge blog called Creative Inspiration (wed) that also wanted to see Not a Card! And this is my second entry for Charisma Cardz for their unique challenge this week...did you visit them yet??

Have a lovely day and may you be filled with overflowing joy! Blessings!!

Fishy, Fishy in the bowl

Did ya all play along with the Squigglefly challenge yet this week??
They have the most adorable digi images and they are soooo affordable! Pop over to the store, grab yourself one and come play along! The challenge, issued Monday by Kim, was to use the 'out of the box' technique! If you're unfamiliar with that one, it just means part of your image will extend out of the circle or square. It's really a fun way to showcase some of your images!
I used this Squigglefly image, Yum! I thought it was hilarious! (I have quite a simple sense of humor!)
Stacey had these great colors for her Jewelry Color Inspiration this week and I really wanted to use them. This delicious sketch is from the Cupcake Crafter challenge and Papertake Weekly wanted to see digi images this time! The ladies over at the Charisma Cardz challenge have some fun going on this week, you'll have to check that one out for yourself! hehe
I used my prismas for coloring. I couldn't find DP in these fun colors so I made my own bg paper with a stamp from an old My Favorite Things set call punny farm. A little ribbon from my stash (matches better IRL) and some of my faux brads! Crystal Effects was applied for the glass bowl! That stuff takes forever to dry....and of course I was impatient and ended up dropping it right on it's shine! duh! I'd like to say I learned my lesson, but I'll do it again I'm sure. :)
Hope you're enjoying your day....hear it's a bit hot in the southern part of the US. We're having a hot, humid, hazy summer day here in PA. My a/c is on and I'm a bit chilled...just the way I like it! lol May laughter and joy overtake you today....Blessings!

*SPECIAL NOTE: Squigglefly will be having a Blog Hop on July 1 & 2 (next Wed & Thur) with some special prizes AND come July, Squigglefly will make a lovely annoucement. [hint: my card is a clue!] If you want to stay on top of the news, you can sign up for the SF newsletter or just stayed tuned right here! :)

Willy's in the Garden

Willy Worm is in the garden! This is one of those awesome FREEbies from Victoria Case! So adorable!
I have concluded that when it comes to coloring, the paper you use really does make a difference! And here I thought it was me.....though that might be the second part of the formula, we won't talk about that right now. Onto the card...
The Victoria Case challenge was to use brown, cream and purple. This purple is from SU! DSP!
Papertake Weekly's challenge was to use a digi, My Time To Craft had 'In the Garden' as a theme, Pile It On wanted to see purple and the sketch w/three flowers was from Polka Doodle!

I'm so sleepy this morning, I can't seem to wake up! I'll have to put some music on and dance around a little to get the blood flowing! Please don't picture that! hehe Have a great day, I'll be back with more posts when I'm awake! Blessings!

Clearly Emilia

It's Tuesday, time to play along with Susana's Custom Art and Card Design's Try It Out Tuesday challenge over on the store blog-Follow Your Heart! This week our DT leader Suzanne challenged us to use acetate/transparency on our project! I could find any sheet (I'm soooo organized!) so I cut apart an acetate sleeve/bag. Worked perfect! I used another of Anki's Sweethearts, Emilia, from the new release!
So let's take a little walk around this card! I assembled the DP and brown top layers and used the scalloped die to cut through. Centered, then cut through the pink base. The acetate goes between the brown and pink! Easy peasy, huh? The little square in the middle is affixed to the acetate with a matching square affixed on the reverse side! The inside words fit nicely behind the square on the green flowered insert! Now about that stitching. My fellow DT Lorelie does the most amazing stitching on her cards...after admiring hers, I so wanted to drag out my sewing machine and stitch away! I think it really adds a finished look to the shabby chic style I used here! Don't you? But alas, I didn't, it's faux stitching! I colored this little Sweetheart, Emilia, with prismas. Isn't she the prettiest little thing?! I cut out her legs, of course and a filled picnic basket. I promise to use her again in full form!
I used the pink and green colors today from Rosie & Dee's challenge! I was totally inspired by Sarah's design over at Crafts for Eternity that I used her design with this cool sketch! Also, Stampin' for the Weekend had this cool theme~ Rock & Roll 60's, so I choose the song, Time of the Season! Thinking this is summery and that's a season!
I hope you can play along with our Try It Out Tuesday challenge this week, hop on over to Follow Your Heart and checkout all the beauty the DT has to share!

Blessings!

Flying by to say HI

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!
Today @ the Digital Tuesday Challenge, our lovely hostess Martha challenged us to use our scraps to make a project! Well, I thought the sketch over @ the CRAFT challenge suited the DTC very well! I had three strips of this blue/red dot paper left, now I have one! My high flying image is none other than Sammy Squirrel from Digital Stamp Oasis! He's colored with Prismas, the top wing of the bi-plane and the bee are popped, as is the star embellie!
I was going to make this a boy card, but I used scallops, so I'm wondering now......and I didn't put a sentiment on for that same reason. Hmmm!
I used the colors according to Riley's Color Dare challenge~ridinghood red, bashful blue, so saffron and pumpkin pie. (yea, the orange is there *see glove!) The OCC ladies were seeing stars for their challenge and All Sort's theme.....wait for it......wings! ha I figured if the plane didn't count, there is always the little bee with it's glittered wings! hehe

I hope you can play along with us this week @ the Digital Tuesday Challenge, all you need is any digital image and scraps for the theme this time! How's that for easy! Our incredible sponsor this week is Squigglefly.com, so you could win three FREE images!! yay!

Have a fan-tab-U-lous Tuesday! Blessings!

Extreme Paper Piercing!

Here's something new...for me! Extreme Paper Piercing!

I've seen it on other blogs and ooo'd and ahhh'd over it, so this is my first attempt. I think I could have showcased it a little better. I ran out of room to use a scalloped circle. The paper piercing pattern is digital so it can be resized, however, I really wanted to use this cute little bunny which is an actual rubber stamp, and it couldn't be resized!
Isn't he a cutie....this is one of Anki's Sweethearts from the new Series 2, Fluffy! I just luv him! I've seen him colored in brown, grey, even pink, how cute would that be!
The pp pattern and the flowers are Fred, She Said. The flowers came on a full sheet with varied sizes, this time after I downloaded them, I opened the sheet with Microsoft Paint-a basic program on most computers-then using the cutting tool, 'cut' around four flowers, opened a new screen and clicked paste. Hit the print button and there ya go, just your four flowers print out. How easy it that?!
My sketch today came from The Fresh Batch @ Stamps & Smiles, the color inspiration-Secret Crafter Sat challenge and the sentiment-miss you-taken from the Daring Cardmakers! There had to be bling so I dusted Fluffy's flower with dazzling diamonds and used some chunky diamond dust in the center. The ladies @ Charisma Cardz challenge this week are dazzling in diamonds too!
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend! I salute all the men who can't be with their families for Father's Day and all the men who graciously support their wives in this all consuming hobby we call stamping! May God Bless every single one of them! Blessings!!!

A Flower, A Pocket, A Tag!

Last night I was cutting out Fred She Said flowers, it was very calming!!!
These awesome flowers can be purchased 'pre' colored or in outline form, so you can color them yourself with matching inks. But I wanted to show you another fun way to use the outline flowers. Printing them on DP. Think of all the possibilities!
I was stuck for the perfect flower yesterday, so I popped over to the Fred, She Said store, grabbed these, downloaded and printed them out on this K&co paper. How easy is that?!!! Flowers in every color, every design, oh, my brain gears are 'a turnin'!!! (do I smell smoke??)
So, onto the card...
I used this 'pocketed' sketch from The Next Level that included a removable tag. No problem, Cute Card Thursday wanted to see a tag too. I made my pocket triangle shaped for the All Sorts challenge~triangles. The inspired colors were from the Rosie-Dee's challenge, turquoise & chocolate. Aren't they yummy?! I used SU! colors and some tanish digi paper from Ellie Lash ('piece of her heart' collection) and two different ribbons for the Pile It On challenge! The sentiment is SU! brighter tomorrow set.
I thought this would be a nice card to encourage someone going through a bit of a hardship! So many people today need to know there is hope! And I mean to tell 'em, one card at a time! :0)
Prayers for a delightful weekend, comforted by the fact you are cared about and loved!! Blessings!

Dad's Day Treat Box

Ok, I think this will be the last Father's Day creation for this year...the big day is Sunday already!
I saw some challenges calling for anything but a card, so I thought of one more little treat for Dad...a box of Tootsie Rolls, one of his favorites!
The stamps are from Great Impressions, I bought them from a little store in Branson, Missouri, while on vaca~Scrapbooks Forever!
I used this super easy tutorial to make my mini pizza box! The chair is watercolored, sparkled, cut out and popped. The lt blue bg is CB'd with circles and stamped with SU! seeing spots- dotted circles in wild wasabi and close to cocoa.
So onto the challenges..

Creative Inspirations
~Anything but a card.
Cupcake Craft chall~Father's Day, NOT a card.
The Cuttlebug Challenge~Father's Day.
The Dutch Dare~an inspiration pix.
The Cuttlebug Spot~Father's Day.

Just a fun little something! I encourage you, if you never made one of these mini pizza boxes, to give it a go!
Hope you're having a super fun Friday! Blessings!

Graduation Card

This is the grad card I gave my niece! These are her school colors and I thought they worked perfect for the Daring Cardmakers challenge to use 'hot colors'! The digi image is Dustin Pike and the polka dot paper is a digi paper I found on my 'puter under the name lweifenbach~lotty dotty paper! I used prismas to color and coated her grad gown in Pearl Ex to glam up this otherwise plain card! Her cap is popped! The challenge @ Banana Split Sunday was to use the challenge @ CPS, so that was easy! With the added sparkle, which you can't see!, I added the One Stop Craft challenge and Stampin' for the Weekend's challenge to use a digi stamp! I had such high hopes for a fan-tab-u-lous grad card, but I was down to the wire (again!) and needed to to produce a card! Geesh, isn't this what the challenges are all about? My cards go out faster than [insert witty saying here], you get the idea! One day I believe I will have a stash of cards on hand, today is not that day! lol
Hope you are having a fun Thursday....{{squishy hugs}} to you! Blessings!

Wanna Hug?

Here's a little note card to bring a chuckle!
My Grafico store has a challenge blog, so I was looking through their downloads and found this little guy, FREE!
Their challenge is summer/sea...this will make a perfect 'hug' card, don't ya think? I'm sure it will bring a chuckle!
This orange fellow fits perfectly for the Dare U 2 digi challenge of orange and brown and I used the Card Pattern sketch; upside down! That's it, just a fun little card while I was playing around at the craft table! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Consider yourself {{HUGGED}}
Abundant Blessings to all who read here!

A Fairy Happy Birthday to You!

Ok, yet another image to top the cuteness richter scale! This is Tara from Victoria Case, isn't she precious?! Victoria's gifts do not stop with her awesome talent, she's also very generous....this was a FREEbie from her challenge blog...how cool is that! This week the challenge was this lovely sketch! The challenges are posted on Thursday, you'll have to check it out!!
I colored Tara and her little friend with prismas and used K&co paper! Her eyes and wings shine with crystal effects. The swirls are sizzix and the retro flower has been CB'd and a glitter brad added. The sentiment is from SU! upsy daisy set. I, once again used the out of the box technique, I told you I was going thru a phase! :)
Here are the other challenges...you knew there were more didn't you?
Colour Create~pink/purple/green & die cuts.
ABC~S for summer.
Crafty Creations~garden theme.
Flutterby Wed~use a flutter.
Simon Says~a celebratory card...The Simon Says blog is celebrating it's first birthday! Happy Birthday Simon Says!

Hope you're enjoying your Tuesday! I'm having a blast hosting the Digital Tuesday Challenge today! I chose one of my favorite combos: Blue-Brown-Bling!
You can use any digi image for this challenge! To enter, simply create something fabulous following the theme, post it on your blog, then pop over to the challenge blog and leave us a comment with a direct link to your DTC creation! You can combine as many challenges with it as you possibly can! LOL That's what I did! Oh, and there's a prize....from our lovely sponsor: Doodle Palace! In need of inspiration, checkout my design teamates....
Now onto my card...
My image is morning glories from the Doodle Palace, watercolored it, popped parts and added Pearl Ex to highlight. I used the 'out of the box' technique, letting some of my image fall out of my white oval. The base card is CB'd with swiss dots for the Res-Q challenge to use embossed dots. Stamp with Fun also issued a dots theme this week while the ladies at OCC wanted us to use border punches. Weddings are the topic at The Pink Elephant, I used a rub-on for my sentiment and the sketch is from Stamp Something, though I veered a bit!
I really hope you have a chance to play along, I'd love to visit and see your fabulous creation!!!
Praying peace, joy and much love over you! Blessings!!!

Linda's a year old!

Linda is celebrating her birthday {happy birthday Linda!!!!} and her blog's birthday! Check out her awesome candy offering!

So, back to Rebecka...I used SU! DSP's in celery and almost amethyst, I'm really likin' this combo. A little paper pieced skirt and matching SU! markers completed the coloring. I used a white gel pen for the faux stitching! And can you tell I'm having fun with the 'out of the box' technique when cutting out my images?! It's a phase!

Squigglefly's Little Schemer Kitty

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a relaxing weekend!

It's time for the Squigglefly Challenge#6! There's a bunch of new images available over @ Squigglefly.com...some great ones for Father's day too. Digis are perfect for last minute cards...you receive your images immediately after paying. Isn't that fabulous?!

Well, onto the card...

The Squigglefly challenge today is a recipe of sorts...use colors pink, black + one other color, 2 flowers and 2 brads! I had such fun with this Little Schemer kitty for my DT card! I used pink pirouette, basic black and white as my "other color." The polka dot background was handmade with a pencil eraser and ink pad! The flower centers are little button brads. I used a little watercolor to shade kitty...don't you love the look on her face?!

I used Friday Sketcher's sketch, turned it on it's side. Stamp with Fun is seeing 'dots' today for their challenge! The sentiment is CG as is the inside of the card. I normally don't do much on the inside but the Cottage Rumble challenge called for a birthday card with a finished inside. So, there ya go! I think all the deets are pretty self explanatory. I hope you have a chance to play along with the Squigglefly challenge today....and if you don't own any Squigglefly images yet, there are some FREE ones to download from their store and so many of the images are under a dollar.

We had a busy weekend away from home, but to top it all off, we went to the drive-in movies last night to see Night at the Museum 2. We piled all the blankets we could find in the back of DH's truck and cuddled under the stars, and boy was it starry! Cold too, we could have used more blankets! In addition to the movies, we saw a bunch of shooting stars! My favorite part, other than the stars; when I saw my oldest and youngest sons 'mindlessly' cuddled together under a blanket....too precious!

Have a beautiful day!
Blessings!!!

ETA: The movie was really fun, we all enjoyed it!

Hoppin' Happy!

Is there anything better than a hoppin' happy frog??? This image makes me smile!

When I saw the PennyBlack challenge of Blooming Gorgeous...I thought of this! hehe Card Patterns sketch was perfect for what I had in mind and Stacey's Jewelry Color Inspiration topped it off! It was for these froggy colors! Throw in the fabulous One Stop Craft challenge of embossing and the Creative Inspiration to use four different papers and this card practically made itself! The papers are K & co. The stamped sentiment is from SU! so many sayings! Doesn't it go well with this image?! Celebrate life...

...that's why I'm hoppin happy! When I think where I was and where I am today because of the Lord and what He chose to do for me...I have joy that overflows! I hope you're having a happy day...not because of what's happening around you; your circumstances, but because you are filled with joy despite your circumstances! Life is good, but even when it's not so good....I'll choose to be hoppin' happy!

Have a blessed day!

A Ribbon Frame!

Ok, here is my first attempt at a ribbon frame. A very interesting concept! I wanted to use this FREE image Sammi was offering over @ Crafty Muse and thought the ribbon would go well with a wedding card!
I added some dazzling diamonds to the image and CB'd the white panel, which I then preceded to covered up with the ribbon...smart huh? It actually doesn't look too bad IRL. Not sure if I'll use the ribbon like this again, but it was fun trying something new. I think that was the idea behind The Next Level challenge! Thanks ladies! I also wanted to play in another new challenge I found, Color Chef with the colors, black, white and one other color, perfect! And since this is a digi and I obviously used ribbon, I was able to play along with the lovely ladies @ Dare U 2 Digi. Finally, Ooh La La's challenge was a favorite color combo; pink and black! So, that wraps up this card nicely. Thanks for letting me share my 'outta da box' card. Hey, ya get the good AND the not-so-good when ya visit here! (I paraphased that from another blogger! (thanks Debby) lol
My next post is another Sweetheart sneak peek with candy! Have a blessed day!

Just for Dad!

Today is Try It Out Tuesday over at the Susana's Custom Art and Card Design store blog, Follow Your Heart. I'm so excited to be guest designing again for one of her exclusive lines, Anki's Sweethearts, for the next two months! And even more exciting....there are some brand new Sweethearts making their debut Friday, June 12th!!! We will have sneak peeks starting Wednesday, so stay tuned!
Now onto this little project! Our lovely team leader over at SCACD, Suzanne, challenged us to honor Dad with a card and small gift! So, of course, I thought of food! The kids and I did a little 'dry run' for the photo shoot! I used SU! papers in kraft, pacific point and wild wasabi-ret. (hehe, I stocked up!) And my little Sweetheart is Isac with Skateboard! I just love this image, he's so sweet!! The card sentiment is a sticker and the other two are CG'd. Stars are SU! punches.
Here are the challenges....
TIOT~Oh Dad! card & small gift!
Rosie-Dee's challenge~sketch, use blue & green!
CRAFT challenge~Father's Day, use blue & brown!
Corrosive challenge~All About DAD!
And a new one called Pile It On~non stamped sentiment & combining challenges...which is right up my alley! Fun stuff!
I hope you have a chance to play along today and create a little something for DAD!

Blessings to you all!

Grammar Counts!

Your nuts, you're nuts, you are nuts! Obviously grammar matters! You don't want to go around insulting someone! hehe!

It's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge! Our lovely hostess this week is Lora and she is challenging all of us to make a bag or box! Great challenge Lora! The sponsoring store this week is My Grafico, they're giving one set of stamps to the winner! yea!
There are so many different bags and boxes to make, I chose A Sweet Treat box, found the template over on SCS! It's a very easy box to put together! Mine is rather plain, I'm using it as part of a Father's Day gift for my DH....I'm still thinking which tag I will permanently attach! hehe Everything that could go wrong while making this, went wrong! Another reason it's plain....I was just happy when it all went together and I was able to take a pix! I'm sure I'll make another one and really glam it up! I used one of my favorite squirrels...Sammy from Digital Stamp Oasis! I used oil pastels to color and the Creative Memories oak leaf punch. Checkout the other DT creations for more inspiration!

Emma in Purple!

Here she is again, one of my very favorite images...Emma with butterfly! She's from Fred, She Said! I feel so blessed to be one of the designers for Tracey's company...everything at her store is gorgeous....yes, everything!!!
The flowers are also FSS and came on a sheet fully colored! All I had to do was snip and crease! Easy peasy!
I used A Spoonful of Sugar's sketch this time and the colors from the new challenge, Stampin' for the Weekend! The lovely Jill over @ Secret Crafter wanted to see bling so I used gems for the flowers and glitz & glitter for Emma outfit and the butterfly! The Banana Split Sunday challenge called for multiple patterend paper, at least three and the lovely ladies over @ CCEE wanted us to use flowers! I had such fun with this card...love colorng Emma dress! Wouldn't it be great paper pieced? Oh the ideas do floweth!
Now back to those flowers....I mentioned mine were pre-colored, 18 full sheets of various colors and sizes of these posies and leaves! But if you'd rather color them yourself, FSS sells outline sheets as well. I know you're thinking, " Holy bolonga Maria, all that must be really expensive!" Nope!, and that's the best part! That and the fact that you can print them out again and again! So go on, hop over to the Fred, She Said store and check them out! Can you tell I'm just a little excited about this company?
Well, I have some busy-ness today then back to crafting! I pray you have a lovely day, that you know you are appreciated and loved! Beautiful Blessings to you all!

The 2 Sketches 4 You Ultimate Card Showdown!

Hi Ho!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! We've been away all day! I didn't think I was going to get to play along in the 2Sketches4You challenge! So when I had a chance to craft a little afterall, my focus was set!
I used this lovely fairy and glam-ed her wings up a bit! She's colored with Prisma pencils & markers. The rich colors are navy and mustard. The DP is digi paper from Ellie Lash. The punches are MS scallop and SU! small star. Star gems and ribbon are from my stash! Laura created a fabulous sketch for this great contest!
You have until midnight June 6th (U.S. mountain time) to submit your card. Wishing them a wonderful first anniversary!!!
Bye for now and Blessings to all who read here!

A Butterfly Fairy

Isn't this a pretty little fairy? It's one of the new digi images over at Squigglefly.com!
There seem to be so many challenges this week with the fairy theme...Danni's Flutterby Wednesday has an open challenge this week, anything goes as long as you include a butterfly or fairy! Scrappy Frog...Cupcake Crafter...and Wednesday Stamper all wanted to see fairies this week! I used the sketch from Stamp Something and the 'recipe' from Paper Popsicles; 1 ribbon, 2 cs., 1 DP and 2 embellies! My DP/backing paper is one of the wonderful backgrounds from Art Creations Friday! She's colored with SU markers and the shimmer is Pearl-Ex.
Now that I'm looking at the pix, there is so much more I could have done to this card. Oh well, next time! Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings!

Nothing is Impossible!

Hope you all are having a great day!

Just a quickie for this post! It's homeschool evaluation day....I'm shuffling paperwork!

Isn't this just too funny! The Digi Shack had a 50% off sale the other week....who doesn't love a bargain? and digis are so inexpensive to begin with!

Only four challenges on this one:

Dare You 2 Digi~Donna B's lovely sketch!

One Stop Craft~Donna F's wonderful theme, "Let's Hear It For The Boys"!

Secret Crafter~Donna B's delightful colors of Pink, Brown & Turquoise!

And finally, Caz chose a Nip & punch challenge over @ Cute Card Thursday!

I believe these digi papers are Summer Driggs/Summertime designs. I watercolored the bird and CG'd the sentiment on the tag punch! Even though there's pink in the design paper, I thought this made a wonderful "MAN" card! I seem to rely on distressing when I can't add a lot of foo foo for a masculine card!

Well, off to be busy...Have an fabulous day! Blessings to you all!

Layered Flower

I'm letting the sentiment and flower take the spotlight on this one!

I live my life knowing that statement to be true! As for the flower, well, that was just pure fun! It's a digi image sheet from Fred, She Said! Tracey makes the most beautiful layered flowers that I just had to give it a go!

I used some foam dots to keep the layers from flattening. It's just glorious IRL! I know you'll want to pop over to the Fred,She Said store blog when you're finished here and checkout their other gorgeous images and papers! Fun stuff!

Now, onto the challenges...some were new to me, like the Digiments blog! They give you a FREE sentiment to download and use for their current contest. How cool is that?! They also have many more available to purchase! Another new challenge is Paper Popsicles, that's where this lovely sketch came from! So many of us know the sweet & talented Tenia N., well, she issues a fun challenge every other Saturday @ Jazzy Inspirations! It was a color challenge this time, teal, white, black and bright green! These other challenges I'm sure you're familiar with...Cute Card Thur~bling (I used a sparkly, glittered brad in my flower), Card-a-lious~flowers, ribbon & blue, The Pink Elephant~3 buttons, 2 layers & 1 sentiment, Banana Split Sunday~ribbon, and the Corrosive Challenge~flowers, sympathy. This card is actually not a sympathy card in the sense of death, it's more of an "I'm sympathizing with you during this really hard time you're having" kinda card! I know it will be appreciated!
Well, it was a joy to spend some time with you! I pray wellness, peace and much love over you! Be Blessed!

OK, now you can hop over to the Fred, She Said store and checkout the gorgeous digi flower sheets! Let me know what you think!

DTC#9 Flowers, Flowers...

everywhere! 'Tis the season for flowers...they're blooming everywhere....isn't it magnificent?!
Today we have a new Digital Tuesday Challenge! Our talented Jen provided an awesome sketch to inspire us this week! When I saw the background circles, I thought of flowers, yea, I know they are mostly hidden and actually mine aren't even whole flower, I used scraps shhh! But doesn't this give the illusion of 3 big flowers behind my sweet rainy day squirrel?!
I used oil pastels to color this cutie, I just love coloring squirrels! :) If you're a fellow squirrel lover, be sure to play along with this Digi Tue challenge, Digital Stamp Oasis is sponsoring! That's the home of Sammy & Susie Squirrel (and others!) and the winner of challenge #9 will receive three digis of their choice! Yep! So, you too can color a squirrel! How cool is that?!
Checkout the other DT creations:
These beautiful papers are from Summer Driggs/Summertime Designs; the ribbon matches IRL!!! I used Shimmerz on the pink petals and watery puddle.
These colors were inspired by Colour Create~pink, lemon & chocolate! Simon Says, "use animals," for their challenge and Charisma Cardz wanted to see dots and circles! And I always enjoy following the ladies over @Stamping B's, their theme was flowers! Fun stuff!
I know I'm not getting all my visits in lately, so much 'life' seems to be happening this week! All good! The kids have their homeschool evaluations this week so we need to have all our paperwork, portfolios, and 'stuff' to prove they received an 'education' this past school year! So much documentation for each child, it makes my head spin! I know they were educated and are all brilliant, just ask their teacher!!!! (that would be me!) hehe
Enjoy your Tuesday! And may much love and peace overcome you! Blessings!

Anita Autore Shelly Amanda Teel Janet Rossi Heather Huggins Jana Mays Sue Morris Joy Stagg Wendy Duff Sara Moreno Rhonda Zmikly

I used digi papers for this one and distressed them a bit, the sentiment is CG! Ticky kitty is watercolored with SU! bordering blue and checkout that sparkler...sparkly, huh? Fun stuff! Squigglefly offers some FREE images on their store site...here's one I used & altered a while back! Digis can be so much more than just print & color! I hope you'll join in the fun!
