Doodle Palace Sneak Peek

Tomorrow Doodle Palace is releasing some new images and here's a little sneak peek...Trixie Dog....isn't she cute?!

I made this little set for a friend to give to her boss....hope the boss doesn't 'read' anything into the witchy image! lol The wee milk box is from a template, I'll link at the bottom of the post! easy peasy! I used my creative memories cutting system to cut the circle, since none of my punches would reach to the center around the box flaps. A small piece of acetate is attached to hold all that yummy candy in! They're Hershey Kisses in candy corn colored foils...too cute!
Trixie is colored with prisma markers and the paper is from one of those 'celebrate the year' stacks.
Sooooo, have you been over to checkout the fabby images Doodle Palace has to offer....one more day!!! 60% off turns a $2.50 image into a $1.00 image....hocus pocus!

Well, I hope you enjoyed your Monday, look for new releases tomorrow along with the deets on the Digital Tuesday Challenge!

Oh, I almost forgot the challenges... some more NEW ones (for me!)

Pumpkins at the Palace

It appears we are harvesting pumpkins at the Doodle Palace today! And this huge one should win a farmers award! It's from the recent Thanksgiving Set release.

I decided to use the paper piecing technique this time with some MME papers. The circle sentiment is from the SU! set, seeing spots! I chalked in a sky and some grass and added faux stitching. I even found a button to match!

If you haven't been over to the new Doodle Palace website, now is a great time to go! They're having a mega sale...(click the banner)

...to celebrate their Grand Opening! yay!

And I have an announcement....
I always knew I was a princess, but now's it's official........lol!

There are challenges every Tuesday at the Palace blog with digis to win! The current challenge is a recipe of sorts~ use pastel colors and daisies~otherwise anything goes! No product restrictions! The Palace blog is also where you will see new images being released and Freebies to snag!

Great fun, huh? Well, stay tuned to this blog because I have so much more to share with you, lots up my sleeve, so to speak! And it's all just for you!

Now let's look at some challenges for this card!
The first one is a New one to me...
La-La Weekly Wednesday chall~stitching.

I colored her with copics and prismas...I tried to 'color in' some textures for her outfit...though I believe I failed miserably! lol Suede boots, corduroy skirt, just imagine....:) I'm happy with the sparkly parts, the colored leaves and boot pom-poms...then there's that molasses Smooch in her hair! I love that stuff!!!

The school days circle sentiment as well as the pencilbox with pencil image are all from The Cutting Cafe. too fun!

It's a Victoria Case kinda day...

Hello Happy Thursday Friends! I'm having a fun Victoria Case day...wanna join me??? Just pop over to the VC group page on PCP...there's challenges and fun going on! I made this little cutie for the speedy 1 hour sketch challenge! Oh my, my little heart was pumping trying to get this done in an hour! It usually takes me that long just to decide on paper!
Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

This is pretty straight forward...K&co papers, prisma markers, copics and buttons! The little cutie is one of the new Victoria Case for SCACD stamps-Susy....isn't she precious?! I had a hard time photographing this, it's quite dreary today in PA.

This morning when I checked in for the PCP's first challenge I thought I would take a peek at the VC challenge blog to see if I could combine the challenges (you know me!) Not only did I find a color challenge, which were the exact colors I was using (yay!) but I also saw this...
for my cowgirl card! And if I seriously wasn't thrilled enough at this point, I noticed that the very generous Victoria was blessing all the participants for chall #13 with a free image...an unreleased image! How cool is that! So, like I said, it's a Victoria Case kinda day!
Come play with me and your VC images....

I hope you are all having a super fun day and may your joy be overflowing!!! Blessings!

Everyday is Harvest!

Hi ho Happy Wednesday Friends!
I wanted to let you know of a lovely new challenge blog, Stampin' Sisters in Christ, combining the love of stamping with the love of Christ! The challenges will be based on scripture...though the cards DO NOT need to be 'religious' in any form. Their 1st challenge is based on scripture from the Book of John:
Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." John 6:35 (NIV)

So the their first challenge is to make a card with a food or drink theme! Easy peasy, right?

I made this card the other day and never posted it. It was created for some missionary friends! I used a FREEbie image from The Digi Shack and CG the sentiment. It's colored with prisma markers. The leaf punch is creative memories. Pretty basic!

I also wanted to share an award I rec'd a while back from the lovely Diane/Planted in Joy! Thank you very much Diane!

I'm to pass this along to others who exalt the name of Christ on their blog.
I know most of you probably have this award but I just wanted you to know I appreciate being encouraged and uplifted while visiting your blogs!

Abundant Blessings to all who read here!

The winner of the fabulous halloween digis from The Cutting Cafe' is
Deb Neerman

Congrats Deb! Send me your email and I send you some digis!

Something for Me!!

Here's the little project I was working on! I am a "list" person! So I made a pretty little notebook folder for my purse!

Today is my last Try It Out Tuesday with the SCACD girls. I have been with them as a Guest Designer for April, June, July & now Aug and they are some of the most wonderful ladies I have met in blogland. They have touched my heart and I will be forever grateful for their welcoming kindness and love. I've learned so much from each of these super talented ladies! Thank you Susana and Suzanne for allowing me to have this wonderful opportunity! {sniff, sniff}

Ok, so today Suzanne challenged us to create a notepad or notebook cover. And when I saw this little beauty over on Patty's Stamping Spot, I just had to have it. She shows how to make it from a SU! folder. Since I didn't have any SU! folders and didn't even realize SU! made folders, I had to alter the directions to fit my particular folder. I found my pretties at Big Lots, an overflow discount store. (12 for $2.oo)
To adorn my list keeper I colored one of the new Victoria Case for SCACD images...Aud, isn't she a beauty?! She named for our very own SCACD DT gal, Aud....how do you like having auburn hair, chica?! I used celery green to accent so it would match my bag....I'm keeping this one! lol
Though, I might be having a give away for one of these later....I do have 11 more folders! lol
I have been wanting to participate in the new Pals Paper Arts challenge since it started four weeks ago...I just couldn't find the time! So finally, with their fourth challenge underway...create anything but a card....I'm getting this one in under the wire! Thank heavens for time zones! lol

Well, I hope you'll have a chance to play along with the TIOT challenge this week over at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design store blog, Follow Your Heart!

Praying peace, joy and much love over you! Blessings!

Hopping by...

Hello and Happy, hoppy Tuesday! It's Digital Tuesday challenge day and this week Jenn has challenged us to 'Hop To It'! We'd love to see your creations using something/someone that hops! (Frogs, rabbits, girl jumping rope, etc) Dustin Pike is back to generously sponsor us with 3 digi's to this week's winner!

My hopper is an altered image from The Digi Shack! I 'erased' the witch hat and added googly eyes for fun! The coloring is prisma markers, the DP BasicGrey Junebug and cs, SU!'s pumpkin pie and olive! I glittered almost everything and CG the sentiment. A really fun make!

I hope you can join us this week at the Digital Tuesday Challenge! The sketch is from the Twisted Thursday challenge, with a 'twist' to use a punch. The colors were inspired by the PCP color challenge, to use fall colors. My favorite colors!!! Which season's colors are your favorite, pastels for spring, vivid brights for summer or classic colors for winter?

I've been working on a fun little project...I'll be back later to share!
Enjoy your day!

Blessings!

Relax, Enjoy!

Hi ho happy weekend peoples! What a glorious weekend this has been! Bunches of family time and an awesome church service with an anointed praise and worship band. Talk about love overflowing, Jesus is just too cool!!! Nothing compares to soaking in His presence and love! Oh my, if we could just throw out all this religious theology and just learn to WALK IN LOVE, what a world this would be. We have been called to witness not judge! Ok then...
Here's a little card I'd like to call RELAXATION...

This lovely image was a FREEbie for the There's Magic in the Air challenge. Thank you again Nina! The challenge was also to make a gatefold card, so charming. I used SU! pastels and a bit of colored pencil to color. The papers are from Making Memories travel paper pad. I love these colors and thought they made for a nice masculine retirement card. The jute is wrapped around and can simply be slid off to open! And look, I used a button! lol Though I still consider myself button challenged...it took me forever to choose this one! lol

There were so many challenges that help 'build' this card! I'm sure that is no surprise to my regular readers! lol oh and I've found five more challenges (new to me) just in the last few days, I'll be sharing those over the next week! wow, we are a challenged bunch, aren't we?!

Well, as I mentioned...
Magical Monday~use boat digi and make a gatefold card.
Daring Cardmakers~spec. occasion card (retirement)
ABC-B for button.
C.R.A.F.T. chall~beach.
Stamping B's~use chalks
All Sorts~sketch and torn edges.

Well, there you have it!
Now don't forget my 'GIVE AWAY' going on for this weekend...some digi files from The Cutting Cafe....clicky HERE for the deets!

Hope you're enjoying your day!
Praying peace, joy and much love over all who read here! Blessings!

Sofa crafting!

Well last night was my final sofa crafting session! I'm up and about today, full of joy and sparkle! Thanks for the well wishes and prayers!
I made a little Christmas project. Regina has tons of awesome templates and files over at The Cutting Cafe'!! So I chose the nesting box file and made the 'medium' box. oh so easy to just print on the color cardstock you desire, cut and assemble! The flowers are Fred, She Said pointsettias, Tracey sells them in blue also...just beautiful! I find it very relaxing to cut out papercrafts but I know of others who do not, so I thought of giving a sweet little Christmas gift of pre-cut flowers!

There were a few challenges this week with a Christmas theme, Creative Card Crew, Our Creative Corner (OCC), Simon Says and the Dutch Dare. The Whimsy challenge wanted to see ribbons and Truly Scrumptious wanted to see anything but a card! Lots To Do had an open theme this week, so be sure to stop by and link up your creations! So, how's that for my comeback?! lol

I have the New Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design images to show you Thur & Friday! There are 8 new adorable stamps in all, there is even a boy in this batch! They'll be available for purchase THIS FRIDAY! woohoo!

I think that's it for today, I have missed you all and will be around to visit! Have a super sparkly day! Blessings!

Update...

Happy Tuesday! Sorry I haven't been around...was feeling a bit under the weather and slept away the last few days! I'm a little more energized this morning. I have so much to share with you so I wanted to make a quick appearance.

First, a super exciting announcement...
New Victoria Case for SCACD will be released this Friday at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design! Starting this Wednesday, you'll have a chance to win some blog candy over @ SCACD's store blog, Follow Your Heart! And the design team will have sneak peaks on Thursday and Friday! Isn't that awesome?! I'm so excited for you to see these new cuties!

Second, today is Try It Out Tuesday over at Follow Your Heart and our lovely DT leader Suzanne challenged us to make a back-to-school project. I started mine over the weekend then fell into my 'deep' sleep so I didn't get a chance to finish my project (card, bookmark & backpack). I did want to share with you what I had done in case someone wanted to make one of these little backpacks! Mary over on SCS has a lovely tutorial HERE.

I used SU! cardstock and BasicGrey's Junebug paper for the flaps. SCACD carries the gorgeous BasicGrey papers!

Today is also Digital Tuesday Challenge day and our lovely hostess this week is Emma. She has choosen the theme, Male Cards. Lots of inspiration over on the challenge blog! I did have my project done prior to not feeling well and will try to post it later!

Hope you all have a super day and I'll be back with you as soon as my sparkle returns! lol
Take care, Blessings!

Hello to You!

Gosh, it's been a busy weekend! IRL and cyberworld, I have so much to show you this coming week, along with some new releases...actually, alot of new releases!
But allow me to pick up where I left off! Produce is booming around our homestead and we are stocking it away for winter like little squirrels. hehe
Our shower was not working, a water valve gave out....so we now have a new shower in our master bath. It's so much bigger that we needed to knockout some walls...too cool! I love remodeling!!!
Here are some random photos until I'm back on Monday with my regularly schedule crafty posts!

Poor hubby had to take apart the sliding glass doors to get this baby inside! Somehow this photo makes it look small??? Now the poor dear is trying to figure the best way to get a seven foot long shower stall up the spiral staircase! He's sooooo wonderful!

Some pickled beets! And we were blessed with tons of sweet corn this weekend, so after we had our fill of corn on the cob, we processed that for the freezer too!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend, sending prayers for peace, joy and much love your way! Blessings!

Miss Bitty, Cute as a Bug!

BLOG HOP IS NEXT POST DOWN!

Hello, I hope you are all enjoying this lovely day! I want to show you a sweet little project I made. A card with removable bookmark. I used the adorable Miss Bitty from Fred, She Said. The dimensional flower and butterfly background are also available @ Fred, She Said. The Miss Bitty set has a variety of fashion and forms to choose from....this is 'full bug' with polka dot dress!

I chose to make a bookmark but attach it to a card to send to the recipient! I wasn't sure how to make it removeable so I found one of those credit card offers in my junk mail and took the little glue boogers off the card! lol Recycle, Reduce Reuse, right?
Ok, onto the deets...I printed out the butterfly background on kraft paper and attached to a black cs base. I didn't want it to be 'empty' when the bookmark was removed so I added a little hidden sentiment. Oh how I wish I had SU! scallop oval! For the bookmark, I printed out Miss Bitty and cut to 'bookmark-size'. Printed the blossoms on yellow DP and cut them out, layered and sponged a wee bit on the edges! Coloring was done with prisma markers and copics. There's a charm that reads 'live' on the floss. oh, I added glitter and bling too! I really enjoyed making this!
Many challenges help shape this project.
Unscripted Sketches~the sketch.
Color Thowdown~blk, wht, melon, kraft, yellow.
Sunflowers & Dragonflies~bookmarks
Flutterby Wed.~use a flutter.
Secret Crafter~cute as a bug.
Three Clovers~use a digi image.
Lili of the Valley~charms.

Too fun!
I'm off to cook a feast...my sweet hubby is working so hard! We had a leak under the shower and needed to fix it. We had planned on remodeling our bath for some time now just couldn't fit it in the schedule. Well, today it fit! lol He's been working all day on it, because he knows I need my shower. I was able to use the kids shower this morning but hopefully ours will be fixed for tomorrow!!!
Enjoy your evenings!
Blessings!

The beloved Crafty Muse challenges are coming to an end! So I wanted to honor Sammi and play along in the last challenge! Sarah gave us a lovely sketch to work with and I made a tag for my little princess, who isn't little any more! lol But definitely still my princess in a house full of boys!!!
I used a Crafty Muse princess, it was one of the first digi sets I won! The set comes in black/white outline and precolored! The papers are SU! and DCWV glitter pack. I glittered her gown and added dazzling diamonds to her hat thingy! Since my DD will probably use this tag as a bookmark, I CG'd some numbers on the back to keep track of the 15 books she needs to read this year!

So here are a few challenges I found for this little project!

I won't do that again...yuckoo, it's quite thick out there!! :) Well, it's time for another Try It Out Tuesday over on the SCACD store blog, Follow Your Heart! This week our lovely DT leader Suzanne Dean challenged us to use the colors pink, yellow & black.

Yellow is not a color I use much, so this was a real challenge for me! I used this sweet Elisabeth Bell stamp~young Alexa, named in honor of Suzanne's daughter. I used prismas and copics. The striped digi DP is from Summer Driggs~energy collection. Alexa's head and bear are layered (not popped) for dimension. The punched/embossed pink flower is layered on a black flower and hand curled. Look, I used buttons, yay! Used my fav black ribbon and a pretty little charm too.
