Victoria Case for SCACD-Everyday Gals...

Happy Wednesday!!! I just had to ink up another rubber stamp today....this time it's Ms. Chardonnay, one the the new releases from Victoria Case's collection for SCACD-Everyday Gals! I know some of you have already ordered all the new EB & VC stamps just released yesterday...you're going to have so much fun with them!!!

I used copics and a red prisma marker to match my paper! The DP, SEI, is glossy and embossed! I don't own a regular 'large' scallop punch so I just use my SU! slit punch, it works for me!! lol
My sketch was inspired by the sketch at Create 4 Fun, the color challenge over @ Papertake Weekly just happened to be blk/wht + one, which worked out perfectly, don't ya think? And because I used embossed paper, the ABC challenge-E for embossing!
This card was really inspired by the girls over on Victoria's PCP group, fun chatting....thanks ladies!!!

Hope you all are enjoying your day and you have a chance to be creative today! For some mojo boosts checkout the challenges at Digital Tuesday (use a digi & a heart) OR how about the fun recipe over at the Doodle Palace! Great ways to win some new digis!!!

Blessings!!

New Elisabeth Bell & Victoria Case Stamps!

Look I used rubbah today!!! I had a good reason!!! The New Mini Releases from Elisabeth Bell & Victoria Case for SCACD are available today!!!! 9 am EST! Victoria Case's Every Day Gals collection and Elisabeth Bell's Special Edition Ornament collection!
This EB image is called Surprise, isn't she pretty! The girl and gift box are one stamp, just thought I would show you the versatility of this image!

I used Copics and Prisma pencils, oh and a bit of Creative Inspiration paint (winter frost) for the tissue paper in the gift box. The gold embossed DP is K&co. Can you say shimmery!!
A new challenge blog to me-Scrap & Stamp wanted us to use distressing, which I've done along the edges and sponged!
So here's the list of challenges...
Stamp with Fun~the sketch
Cutie Stampers~Christmas theme.

You landlovers would call that distressing! I bling-ed up the booty with some chunky glitter! Too fun!
I had fun with some of these challenges too! The Cupcake Craft challenge was distressing, we established that one! The ladies at Creative Twist wanted us to pick a classic movie for our theme. Well, I had to pick one of our all time favorites....Muppet's Treasure Island! lol Let's move on, the Alphabet Challenge letter was an 'X'....do you see my X, it marks the spot!! Digital Tuesday Challenge day

Happy, happy Tuesday!!! It's Digital Tuesday Challenge day and our lovely hostess this week is Michelle! She chose a perfect challenge for this first day of Autumn...Falling Leaves!

And I had this perfect image from Fred She Said....Emma in the Leaves! She's colored with prisma pencils, copics and prisma markers. The leaves are covered with autumn colored glitter, wish ya could see it! I used the Crafts 4 Eternity sketch but it showed offset panels behind the main panel....My card size was too small for that, so with a bit of 'out of the box' thinking I chose to use the tree stamp instead! The embossed swirls are to imitate the feel of wind, blowing all those magically colored leaves! I didn't have a sentiment for this one......any ideas?????

I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week @ Digital Tuesday, I love visiting everyone and seeing your lovely creations!

Here are the challenges I played with for this card...
DIGITAL TUESDAY~theme falling leaves and use a digi image!
Crafts 4 Eternity~the sketch along with orange & brown colors.
Ooh La La~shades of autumn.
Stamp with Fun~autumn.
Creative Belli~fall/halloween.
Stamp Something~fav. colors (sponsored by Doodle Palace, win some digis!)
Stampin'Sisters in Christ~fall colors.
The Digi Shack~fall colors.
Cupcake Inspiration chall~delicious autumn decorated cupcakes...yum!!

So much fun! I hope the sun is shining where you are! This first day of Autumn is quite dreary here, but I do see some trees starting to change colors! The beauty of nature.....nothing compares!!! Blessings!

Hey Pumpkin Bear!

ETA: FREEbie Available over at the Doodle Palace blog!

Oh, isn't this beary cute?! Even though my lovely daughter is a teen, I still call her pumpkin bear at times! lol Well, I had me a little break and this is what I made....

I used one of the recent fall releases from Doodle Palace, pumpkin bear! He's colored with copics and prismas. I layered SU! cocoa and olive with Basic Grey junebug DP. My little tag holder is a simple orange paperclip with an olive ribbon and CG circle punched sentiment. Two cocoa eyelets hold the embossed olive strip in place. I thought it turned out kinda cute! Love working with fall colors!!!

Here's some challenges I played along with...
Doodle Palace~orange & green.
Tree House Stamps~rounded corners.
One Stop Craft~teddy bears.
Basic Grey~embossing.
Play Along Monday~a recipe.
Color Chef~colors.
Lili of the Valley~colors.
Twisted Thursday~sketch and halloween embellishment. sorry ladies, no halloween emb. so I just went with the orange paperclip! :)

That was fun, now I'm off to do another 27 Fling Boogie! lol Any questions, ask FlyLady! Blessings!!!

Life Is Good

Happy, happy Monday!!! We're having a beautiful day here in PA, for the last day of summer! The temps are cooler, football season has started, yep, I'm a happy pup and life is good! So I made a card...

...I love cheese, so this could easily be me! lol
Today is the wonderful Squigglefly challenge day! Rhonda chose a sketch for us to follow and you should see all the variations the super talented DT came up with! I hope you'll grab your Squigglefly images and play along!
This image is called The Big Cheese! There is embossing on the top two gray panels, though a bit hard to see in the photo. The sentiment is CG and my image is colored with markers! Another clean & simple card, which fits my life perfectly right now!!!

I'm still fall cleaning...and I'm ready to just throw out everything, how does one accumulate sooo much stuff! There's household stuff, kid stuff, homeschooling stuff, and now our business stuff, geeshzzz! God gave me a heart to love people not stuff......so I will continue to declutter and clean until the only things I need to maintain are my relationships! lol
Have a super delicious day! Blessings!!!

Chins up Steeler fans...we never stay down long! And Yay, NY Giants, we did pretty good in that new Cowboy stadium!!!!

Fred She Said New Releases!

Have you seen these awesome new releases from Fred She Said??? Aren't they beautiful? I love working with Tracey's flowers!

I'll be back later with details!
Blessings!

The Digi Shack Bat....

or did you say Cat??? Ok, one of my favorite reasons for making cards is....you can have a card for every occasion! Like...congratulations on your new cat! Or add a little humor to the situation....

...isn't it fun to use stamps in a non-conventional way! We don't really celebrate halloween, but I have all these super adorable images! So, being inspired by the awesomely talented Vicki from Stamped Smiles, I found some hidden potential in my Digi Shack Batty stamp! lol

I found this kitty cat digi paper somewhere online for free (I'll try to find it again to give credit)! The eggplant colored SU paper is embossed with CB distressed stripes. The zigzag stitching is faux, used a Hot off the Presses clear stamp....the brads are faux too.

Here are some fun challenges I played with...
Crafty Cardmakers~sketch
SCS CC235 Black, Olive, Eggplant.
Stamping B's~humor.
Creative Belli~fall/halloween.
La-La-Weekly Wed chll~3 embellies=ribbon, brads, stitching.

Squigglefly sneak peek!

Have you seen some of the new Squigglefly images by our brand new artist Crissy Armstrong? This one is called Bubble Fish...

...it has been so dreary here, I can't get a good pix. I was going to show you this yesterday but couldn't find the sun!!!! I used colors from the Color Throwdown challenge and the sketch from the Res-Q-Challenge ladies....they're bacccckkkk! yay! I glitzed and glittered my fishy and the DP is embossed with sparkles too! The bubbles are glazed with Crystal Effects and the yellow strip is embossed with the circley CB folder! Rosie & Dee's challenge this week was a bit of a recipe as was Simon Says...checkout their challenge blogs if you would like to play along!!

The sentiment is CG...Time for Bubbles....inside...to be interpreted by the recipient! hehe

They have a variety of images to choose from, but I just adore their flower line. So I chose this Echinacea image....

...apparently I'm into watercoloring now and doodling! I didn't do faux stitching on this one, just the 'ole dot/dash doodle! lol Very clean and simple, huh?

Digital Ink Co- Poppy

ETA: New photo...the sun came out!

Happy Saturday!!!! We are surrounded by mud today...rain, rain go away! I so wish I had better lighting for photos!! The Digital Ink Co. is had their very first challenge this week and even gave us this lovely poppy to play with...how cool is that?!

I totally had fun making this card and watercoloring the poppy! I used K&co and SU! papers, faux stitching, my MS punch, and my CM cutting system to do the 'outta of the box' technique. The tangerine strip is CB'd and sponged, sentiment from SU! so many sayings. I really like these colors together!

I had to use this multi layer sketch I saw over at Create 4 Fun and the color challenge from Lili of the Valley. Crafty Creations wanted us to use embossing while Lots To Do encouraged us to watercolor. Yes, you can watercolor digis! I added the stitching, which I think really finishes a card nicely, for the wonderful Whimsy Challenge and Created by Hand challenge. The Ooh La La theme this past week was floral fantasy and Die Cut Dreams was orange and brown. There are just so many fun challenges out there to encourage our crafting, I can help but play along!!!

Don't forget Regina is having a Cupcake Sale over at The Cutting Cafe....click on my cupcake card at the top of my sidebar!!!!!

Well, off to do all those things we do on the weekend! Have a fabulous Saturday! Blessings!!!

Squigglefly-Flower Mice

Happy Friday lovelies! Today I share with you a sweet little Squigglefly image; Flower Mice. Our dear sweet Stef over at the SNR Squigglefly group throws us a color challenge every Sat, which means a new one will be up by tomorrow or later today!!! This past week was peach/green and gray. Now gray is not a color I reach for or even have in my stash, so I really had to think on this one...thanks Stef!!! :) Well, here's what I came up with....

This is such a sweet little image, how could I go wrong. With a few little extras like the charm and stitching I think it turned out kinda cute. The top of the little layered flower on the side was punched from tissue paper, yea, I had grander illusions of what I was going to do with that tissue paper but this is what came of it in the end! lol At least I remembered to add glitter....that's for you Stef!

Here are the challenges...
Secret Crafter Sat~hearts & flowers.
Lots to Do~tissue paper.
Sat. Workout(closed)~doodling.
Crafts 4 Eternity~sketch & use mice
SNR Squigglefly Color Chall~colors.
***********************************

It's Fire Pup!

Have you seen the new releases from the Doodle Palace??? This is Fire Pup, isn't he cute?! This Fire Pup image and sentiment are just a few in a set of six created to honor our firefighter heros! They also released some new halloween images!
I made this card for my BIL, he's a volunteer fireman and celebrates his birthday right around 9-11! Hopefully, he'll recieve this with a sense of humor! hehe

I colored with prisma markers and shined up the water with dazzling diamonds. I couldn't find striped paper in the colors I needed, so I made my own! Simply cut equal strips of cardstock, run some adhesive across your base and start lining up the strips! How fun is that!

I can't wait to play with another one of these little spotted fellows in the set....if you don't know a firefighter personally, you could always make a thank you card for your local fire company. Why not drop it off with a basket of muffins or cookies! That would surely bring a smile to some faces, wouldn't it?

Here are some challenges that helped create this card...
TGIF~funny animals.
Polka Doodles~spots & stripes.
The Pink Elephant~the colors.
Pile It On~birthday.
All Sorts~male card.
Paperplay~no DP.
Banana Split Sunday~stripes/dots.
Monday Lunchtime sketch~the sketch.
Too fun!

On the homefront*************************************
Well, I totally missed 'spring' cleaning in April, so I'm trying to get a head start on fall cleaning. Definitely not one of my fav things to do! I do like to be organized though, it's essential in a big family! So, I'm thinking of doing this the FLYLADY way....does anyone else use that technique. I stuck to it a little better when the kids were little, survival and all. So I did the 27 fling boogie and just about filled a trash bag! lol I also set my timer and spent 15 mins cleaning off our bedroom sofa....piles of clothes- to mend, to give away, to throw away, to distribute....baby steps, right?!!!

I hope you're having a sparkly day! Blessings!

A Lani-scape and some awards!

Happy, happy Wednesday everyone! I wanted to show you a wintery card today, I'm sooo not ready to make Christmas cards yet but at least I'm in the winter season...

This is winter Lani from The Digi Shack, isn't she just lovely?? Toni asked us to make a 'Lani' scape...a Lani image in a scene. So, I made a snowbunny Lani. lol She's colored with copics/prismas and glamed up with glitter and dazzling diamonds! Too Fun!
The snowbanks were cut using the creative memories cutting system, distressed and sponged with bashful blue. The snowflakes are white craft embossed! I wasn't sure what occasion I'll use it for yet, so no sentiment!!!

The sketch from Stamps and Smiles was perfect for my scene as was the theme at My Time to Craft~polka dot party! Of course my party is a snow party! hehe The La-La Weekly Wednesday challenge was to add distressing and the Wednesday Stampers have an open theme this week, so everyone can play along with that one!!

Well, we are all buzzing at Squigglefly today awaiting the big announcement! How exciting!!!
Yet another reason to stay tuned!

Digital Tuesday for Miss Bitty

Yay, It's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge and the hostess this week is..........ME!!! I would like you to USE a Teen/Child/Baby digital image on your project this week!! We have a new sponsor for this challenge, Cut It Out Papercrafts....check them out, their images are sooo adorable!!!

I just had to use one of my very favorite images from Fred, She Said, Miss Bitty! This set comes with so many lovely images of Miss Bitty as a girl, fairy and 'bug' and all with different dresses to choose from!!! I chose the girl with plain dress so I could paper piece her with this beautiful Driggs digi paper! I used copics on her hair and skin! The swirls are sizzix and the olive layer is embossed with CB's with love border folder.

So print out some digi kids and play along with us so we can all visit your blogs and oogle your creations! lol
I originally took this outside photo not realizing the shadow, but the kids wanted to know why there was a stake in her heart! lol Through the eyes of a child......

Ok, here are the challenges...

Squigglefly Challenge #18

HAPPY LABOR DAY, USA!!!!

Good Monday Morning! Welcome the start of the new week with a fun challenge from Squigglefly! Today our lovely hostess Rhonda has challenged us to use the colors red & green and add some stars! Now, at first that sounds like a recipe to make a Christmas card but I wanted to show you a 'different' way to go...

Remember, you can use any shades of red and green....so I went with burgandy and olive! The circle sentiment is one of the newer Squigglefly 'text' images....this set contains three images for only .99 cents!!!! How cool is that?! So grab your Squigglefly images and play along....there are always free images available on the store site and don't forget the .99 cent bin....so much to choose from!

Did you see this over on the Squigglefly blog...

Perfect Card for Today

I thought this would be a perfect card for a relaxing Sunday!
The weather has been gorgeous all week long and continues today!

This is one of the brand spanking new images Toni released last night at The Digi Shack SNR party! I made this card for the speed challenge....however, I missed the deadline! I was searching thru cyberspace for the perfect digi paper and found way too much to look at! lol Obviously, I get sidetracked too easily!!!

Can you believe this gorgeous Adirondak chair was only a $1....isn't that totally cool?!! AND, last night Toni also made a BIG announcement....that all her images will now only be a $1 except, of course, the sets and Lanis! Way to go Toni!!!! Click HERE to read about it!!!

I finally decided on was this dotted gold/cream DP at Crisdam Designs called fall fun! I thought it coordinated nicely with my burnt orange textured cs! The sentiment is CG and layered on a dark burgandy cs, the raffia and leaf brad are from my stash. KJ has these colors for the Color Chef challenge this week! yay! They work well for a fall card!

Well, yesterday was a day for us to cut and store some firewood for the coming season...can you believe we'll be cranking up the woodstoves in a few weeks!! Usually we start burning season around the end of Sept...just at night to take the chill off! But who knows this year, it has been such a peculiar summer!!!
Praying Peace, Joy and much Love over you! Blessings!
