Snow Angels

Snow Angels, do you remember making them? I do!! You had to find a big area of virgin snow, jumping into the perfect spot. (so your footprints didn't show!) Then carefully lower yourself into position and create! Afterward, we would lie there in the stillness for a bit, eating a handful of snow and gazing into the sky! Getting out of the spot took as much careful planning as getting in, jumping back to where our last footprints were!

All those happy memories came back when I saw this wonderful image from Fred She Said, called Emma the snow angel. She comes in outline form or pre-colored as seen here!!

This is definitely a CAS card! Had to keep the area clean from 'footprints'! lol I used the homemade snow (Holly's styrofoam ball method), a scored line and SU!'s words of wisdom stamp: Each one of us is God's special work of art. This was so much fun to make! It's for a winter birthday card!

Here are the challenges,

Paper Cutz

Sketchy Colors~green/blue.
Corrosive chall~winter wonderland.
Wednesday Stamper~blue & white.

Short & sweet today, there is alot going on behind the scenes here in my little piece of blogland! So much I'll have to share with you after the new year, it's all so exciting! Oh and this is my birthday weekend so watch for some fun coming up! It will be a surprise!!!!

The Stamping Boutique...Recipe Cards!

Happy Thursday! Hope you are all enjoying your week! Tracey @ The Stamping Boutique has recently released some recipe cards, and boy are they fun to play with!

Of course, recipe cards are great for creating a delightful set of recipes for cooking but I wanted to see what else I could do with them! Here's the first one I played with, it has a picture of Audrey sitting pretty! I colored her with markers then popped her for a fun look! The papers are SU! celery and Basic Grey Junebug!

I made my crinkled flower with some SU! blush cardstock! You simply punch a scallop circle, and two regular circles in smaller sizes. I ran the punched pieces under the kitchen faucet, crumbled them then sat them in front of the woodstove to dry. When dry, they 'harden' a bit and hold their crinkled shape! Insert brad in the center and hand mold to your liking! It's really easy but if I made it hard to understand, just email me!

There are blank recipe cards along with ones with a variety of images, check them out HERE!

My mojo is flowing so I'm taking advantage and crafting like a made woman! lol Blessings!!

Digital Tuesday Challenge-Christmas Song

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another wonderful Digital Tuesday Challenge! This week our lovely Lorraine has chosen a beautiful theme, Christmas Song/Psalm! I used Michelle Perkett's Angel of Hope for my interpretation of Glory to God in the Highest!

I found a huge stash of old sheets of music in the attic and put it to use! I colored with Copics and pencils, there's distressing inks, gold Encore ink and antique gold embossing powder! I used one of my crumbled flowers with some punched greens! This is an "Encourage" card, so I included an appropriate Psalm!
I really like doing shabby chic! I hope you have the opportunity to play along with us this week at Digital Tuesday! Check out all the wonderful inspiration from my DT sistahs!
