Cute Daisy May - Valentines

Hello...are you ready to start another week? Hopefully you had a relaxing weekend and are itching to get back to the challenges! Today on the Cute Daisy May challenge blog the theme is to create a Valentine...

I used this little cutie (CDM sheet 169) for an old fashion Valentine. She's paper pieced with K&Co paper and colored with Copics. Saturday Spotlight's BIG

Welcome to the Weekend! That means it's time for a Saturday Spotlight Challenge!

I first wanted to mention...our beloved leader Vicki (Stamped Smiles) is having some major computer problems and has been offline this past week. She will come back to us as soon as she possibly can....We are all really missing you Vicki!!!!!


For this week's challenge.....

The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to think "bigger is better"! Use oversized bit items, accessories, images etc. that may even be too large for your card!! Get out all those BIG things and use them! I used my huge fishing hole stamp by Impression Obsession, Inc. I also made a bigger than normal size card this week!

The Stamping Boutique Sketch Challenge

Happy Friday! Every Thursday, Stef gives us a lovely sketch to work with at The Stamping Boutique, they're always fun & fabulous! there is a prize in the mix, if you play along!!

I used Chef Audrey this time, she standing in front of her Pantry. She's colored with Copics, cut & popped. I wanted to use dimension for my little kitchen scene!

Inside the card holds holds a matching recipe card, I guess it could be a gift card holder if you don't like to cook! lol But this sweet little card will accompany some yummies.

As you can see, I used my new favorite MS punch, I think it adds a nice touch! The DP is K&Co and the little red hearts are brads I didn't know I had! lol Sentiment is CG! I really enjoyed creating this one!

ABC Toys-sweet Valentines

Happy Thursday! Today is my day to host the ABC Toys & Craft design blog! I wanted to do a little something different today! I took one heart stamp (Inkakinkadoo/fancy heart) and used it for two different styles...

For my first card, I was inspired to use the colors of this cute ribbon. I masked one image so they could 'cuddle' for this Valentine! The sentiment is from Hero Arts Clings/Happy Valentine's Day set!
For my second card, I used some textured paper and some scraps. The heart is embossed in brown. I used my fav MS trefoil heart punch to add a bit of interest to the bottom. I also added a little faux zig zag stitching...can you see it?

I love that we are only limited by our imaginations!!!

Fred She Said Sneak Peek

Happy Hump Day! I have a sneak peek for you today from Fred She Said! Isn't it lovely?


It's colored with Koh-I-Noor pencils(thank you Elena!), and blended with those cardboard stubby things. Too Fun!

The chocolate colored cs, I found in my non-SU! pile!!! And the sentiment, which you can probably tell was handwritten! lol Included in my candy box is white choc, dk choc, milk choc (my favorite, but I'll share!) and a strawberry creme, would you like one???

Hey All! Did you know today was Tuesday??? Well, I didn't!!! lol The days all seem to run together lately!!

Squigglefly-RAKcoon

Today is the new Squigglefly challenge with Kim's team and she her challenge is to create a Summer card! Perfect for this gloomy, dreary day!!!


It was fun to see some flowers for a change! I used Prisma pencils and markers to color this sweet little RAKcoon from Squigglefly! The DP is textured from Colobok, found a bunch of it! yay!

Fred She Said's 1st Monthly Challenge!

Fred She Said New Relase...

Here's a little sneak peek of Tracey's new release Catch Your Heart set....


This is a PRE-COLORED image, but also comes in outline form, with sentiments. I used a ready-to-print sheet, also included and had a card in about 15 minutes! How cool is that?!

This will be in the FSS store tomorrow, Jan. 25th!

I had so many ideas for this image, like paper piecing, couldn't you just see it with pink & purple polka dots! lol Or how about separating the images and positioning the dragon over a bar-b-que grill with a bit of fire coming out the mouth...lol, you'll have to stay tuned for that!!!

Digital Tuesday Challenge-Suzie's Sketch

Happy Tuesday! Welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge, this week Suzie gave us such an awesome sketch to work with. I had so many ideas for this, however my mojo completely left me this week. It's all that paperwork I had to do, it squashed my creativity!!!

ABC Toys-Clean & Simple Valentine Card

Hello and welcome to another Clean & Simple card! Today I'm hosting on the ABC Design Blog and I have a CAS Valentine to show you!



ABC Toys & Crafts has this wonderful Hero Arts Clings Valentine stamp, it's sooo perfect for a quick & easy Valentine! I stamped it with red ink, cut and layered it over a silhouette label. Then I simply added a punched flower (crinkling it a little for dimension), a swirl and some shimmery, sheer ribbon! How easy it that?!

Wouldn't this Hero Arts Valentine stamp be perfect for a candy bar wrapper too? Of course I thought of that after I posted this! lol I know once you get your hands on this stamp, your imagination will go wild!

My DT sister, Cheryl, posted a video the other day HERE showing you how to use a background stamp differently. You could use the same technique for this stamp, "lifting" off any of these many words separately! Too fun!

Today is a double challenge day! It's the Digital Tuesday Challenge today (use embossing) & The Stamping Boutique's "I have a dream" challenge.

My sweet soldier image is from The Stamping Boutique (AJ,the soldier) and is colored with Prisma markers. The DPs are from Summer Driggs. Sentiment is CG. The stars are punched and embossed with the CB swiss dots folder. I've also added clear embossing to his hat brim and shoes!

Hot Cocoa on a Stick!

Welcome to the first Squigglefly Monday Challenge of 2010! woohoo!

Our beloved Kim has issued the challenge this week, so grab you Squigglefly images and create ANYTHING BUT a card! I've made a sweet treat for you today!

Hot Cocoa on a Stick (or if you're a Jeff Dunham fan, make that on a 'steeeck'! lol) These are delicious choc fudge (cubed) and topped with HOMEMADE marshmallow (cubed) then impaled with a lollipop stick! omgosh, this was just too much fun!!!

Squigglefly-beary valentine

Happy Sunday! just popping in quickly with two cuties!

Saturday Spotlight -Love w/out hearts

Well, the weekend has begun! Welcome to this week's Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential challenge! Our challenge this week is to make a LOVE style card (Valentine, Wedding or such) without using any hearts! NO HEARTS! lol I made a wedding card! (again)

Our lovely sponsor this week is Donna's Den of Crafts! There is a precious gift voucher in the mix, so I hope you will play along!

The sentiment is CG and reads...

Love is a symbol of eternity.
It wipes out all sense of time,
Destroying all memory of a beginning
And all fear of an end.

Again, I won this DP, so I don't know which company, but I love it! I applied some faux stitching and a bit of distressing! I created three sparkly faux brads by affixing punched circles where I wanted them, dabbed a bit of glitter glue on each. After the glitter glue was totally dry I colored it with a black marker. Go head, have a closer look, you can still see the glitter! How cool is that, you can have any color sparkly "brads"!!

The Stamping Boutique-Audrey's Dessert

Happy Friday! yay!!

I am always flopping a birthday card together at the last minute, so this year I want to start right and build up my stash! Here's my first one, The Stamping Boutique's...


Audrey's Dessert! Isn't she a sweetie?! I adore this line over @ The Stamping Boutique! She's colored with Prisma pencils & Copics. Won the papers so I'm not sure what company they're from! The only flower I had to match this time was too big for my card so I "massacred" it down to size! hehe

The Stamping Boutique has really come into it's own these last few months. I first met Tracey through Squigglefly, she was and still is one of their many artists! Her drawings/illustrations are just so fun & fabulous! You can checkout her store HERE! She also has very active group pages on both PCP & SNR along with a company gallery at SCS, so be sure to upload & tag your photos so we can find them and oogle them! tag= Thestampingboutique

Every Thursday Stef Hughes issues a SKETCH CHALLENGE on the forums! My card uses this weeks sketch, isn't it wonderful. I love a nice classic sketch! I hope you can join in and play along with us each week!

ABC Toys & Crafts -Wedding Card

Happy Thursday! This is my first official ABC Toys & Craft post and I'm so excited to be part of this wonderful team in this new year!
Today I have a wedding card to show you!

I've used my favorite style CAS (clean & simple) but added a touch of elegance with the gold embossed rose stamp and paper(a scrap from my stash)! The totally awesome border is a MS punch called embossed trefoil hearts valentine. I'm really lovin' this punch! I've been playing with it and have come up with a few different ways to use it along with those sweet little hearts it punches out! lol I like to 'get my money's worth' from my tools! lol So keep an eye out for some more ideas! (I used it earlier this week, HERE)

I encourage you to pop over to the ABC Toys store and checkout the current specials, such as the MS doily punch for only $11.19, how cool is that?! They carry company lines from House Mouse, Hero Arts and PennyBlack just to name a few! And if you follow the ABC DESIGN Blog, Julie will keep you up to date with current Customer Discount Codes and promotions! Talk about great customer service! Can ya tell I'm really impressed with this store? lol

Fred She Said Layered flowers

Hello Wednesday! It's another freezing cold day here in PA! Brrr So I thought I would brighten the day with a Fred She Said flower card! Tracey's flowers are so beautiful!

This layered flower is from the Lovely Blossom kit! Not sure why I always go for the blue! lol I sparkled the flower layers and used some of Doodlebug's lily white daydream sugar coated c.s. Can you say intense sparkle? There's glitter everywhere, what fun! lol

Hello my crafty friends! I'm so excited to share my card with you today! It's my Creative Card Crew DT debut!!!

Paula had asked me awhile back to join the team and of course I said yes! Paula was one of my very first blogging buddies and I just {{heart}} her. She's super talented and oh so sweet & kind, am I making you blush Paula????
