I used the poppin' pastels method for the green pocket because I didn't have any markers/pencils to match the moss color. I also do not own a regular scallop punch (without any designs) so I used my SU! slit punch to make a row of scallops! Necessity is the mother of invention, right?

Isn't this a striking color combo.....I CASEd this color combo from Jojot (SCS)! Joanne (Inky Ocean Gazer) is one of the wow-artists who inspire me! Check out her gorgeous creation HERE.
Since she was a featured stamper a while back, I kept the rules set by SCS! I did keep the colors and her overall layout, though I veered a bit. I changed the flower, of course to this lovely FSS carnation! I changed the shape of the card along with the border, punch and the embellishments.

Have a Donut!

Happy Thursday everyone! I have a yummy card to show you today! This fabulous Hero Arts image is from the Have a Donut clear stamp set!


Feel free to interpret this sentiment however you please....my hubby thought I was talking about the donut, not him! lol

I glazed the donut with clear embossing powder here and there for a bit of shine! I seem to be in my faux stitching/distressing phase right now! Hope you don't mind, I'm sure it will pass soon! lol

ABC Toys-Mi Casa es Su Casa!

My card today uses Hero Arts clear stamps, YES, I got my fingers inky finally! I love the crispness of these stamps! I was going for the Clean & Simple country look...

Finally...SNOW!

This is a great day for some Hot Cocoa on a Stick!


Well, we are officially 'SNOWED IN'! and lovin' it! There are blizzard like conditions and it's beautiful! Since my hubby works from home, we don't need to leave the house. I took inventory of all our country neighbors and everyone is tucked in with lots of food (bread & milk) and their woodstoves burning! It's a happy place to be!!

I'm sure all the 'boys' will be out tomorrow with all their 'toys' (tractors, plows & front-end loaders) and dig out the neighborhood! LOL

The kids had cleaned off the deck in anticipation of this upcoming snowfall!

Beautifully Aged

Here's a sneak peek from Squigglefly's new releases this weekend!!!
I just love the variety of image styles Squigglefly carries! Something for Everyone!!


This grape & wine image by SF artist Lynne Stransbery was colored with Prisma pencils and blended with those paper stumpy things again. NO OMS! The simple blend of the colored pencils gives a richer look...I think! lol...but than I really don't know that much! The paper was a RAK, perfect for this image. I used faux stitching and gold ink to smudge the layer edges. Crystal Effects was used over the wine glass and to highlight the edge of the bottle!

This will make a lovely birthday card for an older lady...Beautifully Aged!

Well, boy, did we have fun! Everyday this week the ABC girls have been showing some fun & fabulous creations on the design blog! But to add to the fun, we INVITE YOU to play along!!

As you can see, I choose to run with the sweet-hearts part of the theme and make little treat boxes to hold these delicious foil covered chocolate hearts!
