Good Morning! I wanted to share a card with you using some brand spankin' new images from The Stamping Boutique!

Who in the USA doesn't know the Pledge of Allegiance by heart? Well, with homeschooling, I didn't realize my children didn't know it (when they were younger!) until we were at a meeting and we all stood to recite The Pledge. eek! Teacher/Mommy needed to rectify that immediately!!! So, being me, I wrote an entire curriculum on patriotism & citizenship for my little ones! I must say, it definitely paid off! It swells my heart today to see my children stand/remove hats when we attend military/veteran functions & parades or thank soldiers in dress in the stores & malls! God Bless them all!

Out of my household of boys, it's my daughter who has her mind set on joining the army! I know I shared this with you before, but here it is again!

My daughter made this little video when she was 12 yrs old to remind us to continually pray for our troops!

DTC #56-Anything BUT a card!

Good Morning all, hope your Tuesday is starting out sweet!

We have a new challenge for you @ Digital Tuesday; we're making anything BUT a card this week!



The phase, "Anything BUT a card" always intimidates me when I first see it, but I'm up for a challenge!!! There are so many templates out there now, along with tutorials on different card techniques, especially over @ SCS...so it should be easy to create "anything but a card" for this challenge! ey?

I actually found this digital, pre-colored printout from Funky Fairy on my flash drive stash! I just printed it out, folded on the dotted lines, tied a bow and made a front panel! I used Junkits whimsical letters to spell out "sweet" and part of a stamp from SU! fun filled set for the "for you"!

Is Funky Fairy still around, couldn't find a site????

This treat box is just the right size for my Reese's PBcups (yummo, favorite candy)!!!

This next section is mostly for family & non-card making friends that read my blog...

***on the homefront****
Gosh, April is flying by! We are trying really hard to finish up our school year and fill any academic gaps we might have. I do have most of my legal paperwork done, so I can concentrate on helping the kids put their portfolios together!
The whole family is thankful tax season is over along with first quarter taxes...Mommy is a much nicer person when her face isn't buried in a "ledger"! lol
oh, and my sweet hubby had to recently go back to school!! He even had to take a test!!! I'm so proud of him!! He aced the test and received federal certification for something or other! yay!!
So april has been crazy and doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon....but I'm sure life would be a bit boring if I was only headed in one direction at a time!

A Clean & Simple Hello!

Happy Thursday everyone! The weekend is almost here, just hang in there a little longer!

I got inky again, and to be honest, I'm REALLY enjoying it! I've been using digis for over a year now and have missed my stamps terribly! I won't give up digis (for so many wonderful reasons) but I'll be pulling out the rubber stamps a bit more now!!

This My Cute Stamps set is one of my new "go-to" sets. It's fun & simple stamps lend themselves to any occasion, quick & easy!! I used the flower & sentiment from the set for this CAS card! My stitching is faux, but I've use a wee bit of black knotted thread on the side to give the illusion of real stitching! too fun!

Well, we were able to sell some of our homeschool books/curriculum at the sale! I made a bit of money then proceeded to stop at a little scrapbook shop on the way home and spend some! I know, I know....I should be re-investing that money in homeschooling, but they had some Basic Grey papers there....and they're soooooo purrrrrdy!!!! lol

Oh, and yesterday, I realized I missed a whole bookshelf section, so I'm off to sort that today and get my HS objectives finished & mailed to our school district! Actually I'm getting all my schooling 'stuff' done ahead of my schedule which completely shocked me! I love it when I'm more organized than I thought I was! haha

Squigglefly-a Stylish Sneak Peek!

Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a blessed Sunday!

I was playing with some Squigglefly.com images (yet to be released) and wanted to use this one for a birthday gift card!

This is super glittery IRL! The DP is DCWV all dressed up, pre-sparkled paper and I added stickles around the white oval. The sentiment is CG.

This boot is part of a SF textile set with wonderful patterned clothing images, lots of ideas so stay tuned!

I'm purging the big bookshelves in our home library today! Not the book books, but homeschool curriculum and teaching books. We are getting ready for a curriculum swap and with only teens & a pre-teen in my home now, I'm FINALLY able to start passing on some of the primary/elementary books! YAY!!! Maybe one day I will actually have space on the shelves to set 'pretty things' too! ...NOT!!!

DTC53-Blue+White+Color

Well, howdy, howdy, howdy! Hope you all had a fabulous Easter holiday!

We have a great challenge to ease you back into creating today @ Digital Tuesday! Our lovely Suzie has chosen a color challenge: Blue, White and one other color! I choose light gray!

The glass to the right of my card is actually an antique rolling pin. It's a glass cylinder to be filled with ice & water to prevent the dough from sticking! Also in the background is a pewter serving dish we rec'd for a wedding present almost 23 years ago....how old does something need to be before it's considered an antique????

I thought this wonderful vintage image was perfect for a Thank You card for the wonderful Easter dinner my SIL & BIL so generously shared with us!!! What a blessing!!

ABC Toys-New Sarah Kay

Happy April everyone, spring is sure to be here soon now! Just a few more days until Easter and I've already eaten one whole bunny! lol

Today I'm hosting over at the ABC Toys & Craft blog and I wanted to show you one of the new Sarah Kay stamps from the Spring/Summer collection!
