Gosh, it was a hot weekend...but life goes on! We had a fun time and seemed to accomplish much! To officially finish up our homeschool year, we took the kids on a tour of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle factory in York, PA!



While in the neighborhood, we also toured the Wolfgang Chocolate factory! yum!


Hubby & I also celebrated our 23rd year anniversary! Oh, that makes me feel old! lol We've actually been together for 28 years, two and a half years of dating and two and a half years engaged while we built our house. Whew! And he still makes my heart pitter patter!

Our weather has been hot, hazy and humid! I'm hiding in the A/C as much as possible but there's alot going on so I have to run from my cool house to my cool vehicle as not to break into a sweat. lol oy! who ordered summer??? Guest Designing for Sweet Stamping Treats

Hello again!

I have the privilege of guest designing this week for Sweet Stamping Treats challenge blog! Karrie has a bunch of wonderful digis in her store, pop over and check them out!!

I used an image from Karrie's Sunny Day set! I love the simplicity of this image, it can stand alone or you could add something or someone to the 'picture'!! I computer generated the sentiment to fit the recipient of the card! The birdie border is a Martha Stewart border punch with a little extra birdie snipped off and placed on the swing!

The weekend was way too busy for me, I'm ready to hibernate again for awhile and refresh! lol The weather was beautiful for picnics & grad parties but Wowza, do I melt in the heat!!! Air conditioning is obviously my natural habitat! Fun times were had by all and my daughter had a chance to kayak for the first time! She was wonderful, of course! :)
Our homeschool evaluations are today, so I'll be running around like a headless chicken making sure everything is perfect! Prayers are welcome! Thank you!!

Yesterday, we were so excited to be moving farther along on my hubby's shop! The roof trusses went up!! We had hired a crane to put them in place and I thank God for friends & family that showed up to help!! With everyone up on ladders, it was finished in no time!!! Heavy rains were forecasted, but prayers were answered and it held off long enough for the guys to finish up and bring all their tools in, then it started to pour and it rained into the night! PTL!!


See the dark sky with the white spot in the center, that spot stayed over us until the guys were finished!

No one could ever convince me the Lord does not care about the small thing as well as the big! He's so good!

Creative Belli Challenge - Rub-ons

Happy Wednesday! How did Wed arrive so quickly???

Today I have a fabulous Belli Challenge to share with you! It's all about using up your embellishment stash!! So for the next two weeks we are digging out our rub-ons! I really hope you'll play along, especially if you have some laying around!!!

Did you know rub-ons have a shelf life??? I didn't until this challenge was presented to the team. So let's use them now!!!


I was going for a vintage look here. When I cut down the book page I had a nice edge left over so I pleated it over the bottom of my yellow cs. The stitching is of course faux and I found a button that matched PERFECTLY!!! This was a fun card to put together!

We had a beautiful weekend! My hubby had a chance to work on his new shop, located on our property. The walls are up and now it's time to order the roof trusses & metal roofing! We are so excited that he will have more space to spread out!!! (We have our own custom woodworking business!) The kids have visions of dividing up his former work space for themselves...too fun! We'll see where that goes, though I'm in full agreement with my oldest son's idea of a sound proof room...he just bought a monster bass amp! eek!!!! lol
