Everytime I ink up a rubber stamp, I remember how fun it is to get inky!!! This is my all time favorite Kraftin' Kimmie stamp!

Creative Belli Challenge - Round & Metal

Well, it's the 3rd Wednesday after the 2nd Saturday and the 9th day after the new moon that occurred in the 8th month of the year, so you know what that means....

It's time for another Creative Belli Challenge!!! Haha I LOVE bi-weekly challenges, don't you? The weeks fly by way too fast for me, so a challenge every two weeks is PERFECT!!

This Place is a Zoo!

Ok Lovelies, I'm trying something different this Tuesday!
Instead of posting all my DT cards separately, I'm just posting once today!

I've been going through my stash of dp (designer papers)scraps! Holy Moly, it's time to stop buying and start using! Anyhoo, I love to mix and match patterns, so when I saw an awesome mixed patterned design the other day I just had to case it! See Tori's card at Wild Sprinkles, she's an inspiration!!! These awesome BasicGrey papers are from the offbeat pack. The bg paper is two scrap pieces and the blue & orange layers are the leftover scraps from the 6 x 6 sheets!

Ok, I was trying different ways to make a flower since I have limited flower punches and don't want to spend the money for more.

I simply punched a 1.5 inch circle

centered it in my EK retro flower punch

and it makes a nice 'squared off' flower!
I used my piercing tool to help position the punched
circle! Then distressed & curled it!
Applied a button & floss and attached it to my card!
easy peasy!

We raised pigs once, named them Pork Chop & Bacon so the kids would clearly understand why we had them! lol I remember when they escaped from their pen one morning, I was making french toast and saw one run by the window, I yelled for my hubby and my one son grabbed the plate of french toast, ran outside and 'lured' the pigs back to their pen! lol When it finally was time to take them to the butcher, we were driving down our country road and the pigs jumped out of the truck pen. We had cars stopped on the road and everyone hopped out of their cars and helped guide them back to the truck. lol too funny, I love living in the country, lots of wonderful loving neighbors!!!

Creative Belli Challenge -Paint

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for another Creative Belli challenge! The Belli mission is to encourage you to use your stash! This week we dug out our bottles of acrylic paint.

Now, before you think you're too busy to try something new. Let me tell you this card took a whole 20 mins to complete! But you can use paint any way your little heart desires, I just wanted to try something new!

Easy peasy steps...
1. use nesties to cut out acetate, white cardstock (for backing) & black layer
2. stamp image on acetate with Stazon ink
3. TURN OVER acetate & smear/sponge acrylic paint all over.
4. immediately lay white backing over wet paint & SMASH; sandwich!
5. adhere sandwich to black nestie layer
6. finish card!


The paint acts like glue to hold the white backing on, but I did smear a little glue around the edges of the white backing too. I could see this technique used for a fish scene using blue & green paints! or how about adding a bit of glitter to the paint...oooo,I think I'll be using this techn. again! lol

Two weeks have rolled around again and it's time for another Creative Card Crew Challenge!

It matched SU!'s pink passion color, my rarely touched stack of cs, which is now retired! understandably so! lol
