I've had a sheet of Crafty Secret images foreveh!!!  Found this one with a crown and ran with it!   The DT did a beautiful job with this challenge, check it out.   Creative Belli challenge!

I'm running a bit behind with posting DT cards this week...but I will eventually get caught up.  Someone throw a holiday in the mix and it sent me in a tizzy!  lol
We're also finishing up the last weeks of our homeschool!  yay!  I just need to collect a few more assignments from the kids for the portfolio and schedule our evaluations.  I'm partially done with writing up the new objectives for next season, just waiting on my DD to decide on which History curriculum she wants to go with.  Life is good, just busy!

I made Mary Anne a card with one of the flower Buds, Snow Drop, isn't she a sweetie?!   The sketch I used today is our new challenge sketch @ Digital Tuesday!  

Now, I tend to veer a bit from sketches, not my thing, so you will definitely want to check out the actual sketch over @ the challenge blog along with all the beautiful DT creations!!


I've been busy working on a bunch of new crafts, though I really should be continuing with my cleaning!!  I think that's why my spring cleaning melds into fall cleaning, I just can't seem to keep at it!  lol   The weather was beautiful yesterday, so nice to start drying out!  Seems like the rain was here forever!

Pamper Yourself gift set

With the warm weather approaching, I'll be in sandals or more likely barefoot, so I like to keep my feet looking good!  This is a great scrub to keep in the shower & use daily!

Is this Victoria Case stamp not perfect for this gift set?   It was perfect for the SCACD challenge this week too!  A SCACD stamp, 2 dps & ribbon, I made a fun twisted ribbon flower for my card!  Love making them!

Hubby & I made the peppermint scrub here, and the house smelled so good, like a big piece of chewing gum!  lol

Hand & Foot scrubs

**Peppermint Scrub:

Mix together 1 cup sugar, 1/3 cup mineral oil, 2 T. corn syrup, 1/2 t. peppermint extract and a drop of green food coloring.

**Brown Sugar and Honey Scrub:

Mix together 1 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup mineral oil and 2 T. honey.

**Sugar Cookie Scrub:

Mix together 1 cup raw sugar, 1/3 cup mineral oil, 2 T. corn syrup and 1 t. vanilla.

Don't have mineral oil, or raw sugar?  There are dozens of recipes on the web with very basic ingredients!   You could even have the kids help!  Or have Dad & the kids mix up a batch for Mother's Day!

Sewing - Silverware Snuggies!

My first sewing project!  

As you know I found my sewing machine earlier!   So, are you ready to see what I did????

(1 1/2" Offray ribbon, Prima flower)

I made little silverware socks!  lol   or maybe they're fork pockets!   My kids said they're fork sleeping bags! lol  How about SILVERWARE SNUGGIES!

Thought it was a fun, easy way to add some spring color to the dinner table...for Easter or maybe Mother's Day brunch!

They say it's used for sewing, so I googled it, yep, it's a sewing machine!

Took the cover off and plugged it in.  yay! the little light works!  

I know I have thread somewhere, now I just need to remember how to thread it!  
Oh this is going to be fun....I'm off on a sewing adventure, stay tuned!

If you are wanting to change yours, here's how!

1. In Blogger.com, click on Dashboard
2. Select Edit Profile
3. Check the box for "Show my Email Address"
4. Save changes.

That was probably easier than you thought, huh?

Happy Wednesday!

I mentioned previously that my decorating style is very country, actually crossing over into primitive!  If it's rusty,battered, beaten and peeling...I'm on it!

This is a fun piece I made with some ivy stamps I had forever, some paint and a few flat antique nails!  The hearts are store bought 'rusty' metal and I added a little moss on the nail 'perches' for fun!

The Design DIVAS are hopping along today.  Once a month we dig into our piles of stash to find something we haven't used for at least 6 months.  As you can imagine, we have alot to choose from!  lol
