Thought I'd share a 'cool' card with you today!

Isn't this little penguin the cutest?  I used my favorite 'ice cream colors' for this one; chocolate, Dreamsicle & raspberry! yum!

Hungry for ice cream now???    Here's an easy peasy recipe that the kids can make.   Be prepared not only for ice cream but lots of gigglin' while you're making it!!!

Yes, it really works!



Coffee Can Ice Cream!
(makes soft ice cream)


Prep Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

• 1 1-pound coffee can with lid
• 1 3-pound coffee can with lid
• 1 pint of half and half (milk can be used instead)
• 1 egg, beaten (optional)
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla, 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup, or 1/4 cup of strawberries

Preparation:

Add all of the above ingredients to the 1 pound coffee can; mix well. Put the lid on the coffee can and secure with duct tape. Place the 1 pound coffee can into the 3 pound coffee can. Surround with crushed ice and rock salt and place the lid onto the 3 pound coffee can.

Have your kids sit on the ground and roll back and forth 3 to 4 feet apart. Roll for 8 to 10 minutes. 

Check to see if the ice cream is 'hard'; if it isn't, replace the lid, add more ice and rock salt. Roll for another 8 mins.

Remove the lid to the 1 pound can and serve in bowls.

Serves 4-6 people.

Blogger Issues & a quick card

Happy Thursday!

What a day!  I'm having major issues with Blogger!  Couldn't sign in....I think that's pretty major!   I know some others are having trouble leaving comments.  I did try unclicking "keep me signed in"  I know that has helped some, but not me!   I've switched over to my old Firefox browser (from Google Chrome) and am able to at least sign in & post.   Be patient with me.    Thank you & welcome to my new followers, as soon as I'm able I will happily be visiting your blogs too!

Here's a masculine card that should have been posted earlier this morning!

Aud Sentiments challenge went live today, we are using masculine sentiments this fortnight!  Digis with Attitudes is sponsoring, I've used one of their sentiments along with some K& Co dp (design paper) & some bakers twine.  Easy Peasy, but just right!

Tomorrow is Friday already & I'm looking forward to the Memorial Day weekend.

How 'bout a sweet baby boy card today?

Stamps: MFT tiny tag stamps

Paper:  SU! cs

Ink: SU! white craft ink, gray marker

Other:  SU! slit punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder,

ProvoCraft Cuttlekid transportation die 

I've had a set of Cuttlekid dies forever, picked them up on a clearance shelf.   Doesn't this make a cute baby card?!

Used the boat die with blue, yellow & red cardstock then layered it.  The 'wave' is made by using the SU! slit punch; clipping out semi-circles, ran it through the Cuttlebug and smugged it with SU! white craft ink. 

Clean!

Simple!

Effective!
