House Shaped Card
Happy Wednesday!
Hope you're week is going well! I have a shaped card to show you today!
Ellie @ My Creative Moments hosts a word play challenge and I've been wanting to play along & support her and her new venture, the word this week is HOUSE! So I created a house!
I'm on a mission to use up my old stash, these Basic Grey papers seem ancient, but I still have full sheets untouched! I cut around the flowers for this fun background then glam-ed it up!
For house shape, I simply created my own template for the size I wanted. Placed the side of the birdhouse on the fold of cardstock & cut out the other sides! easy peasy!
That's it, hope this brings a smile!
Can you believe July is almost here??? Need a new calendar page to keep track of all your crafty events, how about this fun one?
Visit The Twinery to download a July calendar page for FREE.
I want to give a big shout-out to...
Susan from Cricut and Grasshopper for sharing her lovely award with me! Thank you Susan!!!
Here are the rules for the A Thing of Beauty Award:

ok, I'm usually not good at this but here we go...

Funky Folded Flower Bingo!
Happy Tuesday!
Time to play with your digis, it's Digital Tuesday Challenge day! Our hostess this week is our lovely Lorraine & she's chosen the theme, FLOWER POWER!! make any type of craft you want as long as it includes a digital element!
I think I said it before, I adore bingo cards! I found this one some time ago @ the Paper Fashions blog for FREE! too fun!
Speaking of fun, what do you think of this folded flower? It was really easy to make, I thought I took more photos of the folding process but I didn't....sorry. If you have any questions, just ask!
I don't use flowers that often in my crafting, actually I just had a flower give away after cleaning out my stash, but I really enjoyed making this flower. I will be showing you some fun ways to make handmade flowers, inexpensively, in the coming weeks!
I do love flowers in my home, unfortunately I normally have to buy them. I do NOT have a green thumb, my plants & flowers usually die of thirst & neglect. lol That's why I always considered keeping my children alive, a great accomplishment! Of course, maybe if the plants made noise & wined when I didn't water them, they would still be alive too!
If you're like me, you might want to check out this fun gadget from Black & Decker! It made me laugh to think who might have invented it!!
Black & Decker PlantSmart digital plant care sensor!

Speaking of fun, what do you think of this folded flower? It was really easy to make, I thought I took more photos of the folding process but I didn't....sorry. If you have any questions, just ask!
- Punch your circles, how many depends on the size of your flower.
- I practiced with larger circles, they were easier to fold until I got the hang of it!
- So you are just folding the sides in to make a point.
- Adhere them to a circle like pieces of pizza.
- That's it!

No eggs on Baking Day?! eek!

Welcome to my baking day!
Jessica @ Baking Up Crafts has gathered a group of us together for a fun Baking Blog Hop! Pop over to her blog for all the fun details! It's a short & 'sweet' hop, so I hope you'll play along!
Today I would like to share:
- a quickie cookie recipe
- a recipe pocket card
- no-egg tip!
Refreshing Lemon Cookies...
Lemon Cookies...you can make a fast batch of cookies (3+ dozen) from any boxed cake mix. Just add 1/2 cup of oil, 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon water and 1 to 2 teaspoons of lemon extract to the dry mix. Mix well with electric mixer, roll into 1 inch balls, flatten onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes @ 350 degrees F. Dust with powdered sugar. (The kids were dropping them into the sugar & fishing them out! lol too fun!)
Recipe pocket card...I saw this design over on Ashley Newell's blog, I just loved everything about it & thought it was perfect for today's hop. Her card is so beautiful, elegant too, see it here!
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps (recipe for love) fundraiser set
Papers: Echo Park dp
Others: vintage lace, Offray gingham ribbon, glassine bag,
pinking shears, button/baker's twine.
My glassine bag actually tucks down behind my ribbon & patterned paper, for a longer recipe card.
If you're hopping with us, your next stop is Jen, wait to you see what she has "baked up" for you!

Shabby Chic Tea Time
Happy Wednesday!
Well, we're down to the wire with our homeschooling paperwork! I've been the proverbial chicken with it's head cut off, running around screaming things like, "Where's the report you wrote on Beethoven???" and "Find all your lab sheets, NOW!" lol not a pretty sight in our home! oy!
Right then, let's move on to task. I have a shabby chic card to show you today.
With my limited crafting time (don't ya hate when life gets in the way of crafting?!) I combined my DT themes; at Creative Belli we are using "G" embellishments, gems, glitter glue, glitter. And at Aud Sentiments, we are using Food/Drink related images. Robyn's Fetish is sponsoring & has given the DT some lovely images to play with.

Bear Hugs & FREEbie Fun!
Happy Tuesday!
I have lots of links for you today! Are you ready?
First a sweet card. I'm not much of a bear person but for Laurie, I'll make an exception! Her images are so lovely to work with!
Isn't this the cutest? I used Gimp to digitally 'fill-in' the coloring on my bear. too fun!
These papers are a perfect match to SU! pink pirouette so I used a re-inker to dye some vintage white seam binding to match.
Doodle Pantry is currently running a "Stock the Pantry" challenge, use any DP image and enter to win! AND
Digital Tuesday's new challenge is to use ice cream colors! I used Neapolitan colors! yumm-O!
Here are some fun things I've been playing with....
Have you seen the most recent FREE templates from Paper Crafts??? Downloads available HERE!
Like to try new techniques? Dana Parlevliet makes some AMAZINGthe paper flowers using scrapbook papers. She has a fabulous tutorial over on the Graphic 45 blog. Or you can check out her wonderful creations @ her etsy shop: Dana’s Paper Flowers.
When I saw this summertime project over on Scrapbooks, etc. I had to investigate the designer, Janna Wilson!
She owns the Cut & Create Shoppe & offers wonderfully creative ideas along with some FREE printables HERE!
Lara recently posted her June stamps @ Photocentric! pop over to her blog for the FREE pdf download!
Enjoy!
