This was for a SCS color challenge the other week CC163.
I just realized I never posted it on my blog...it's in my SCS gallery. I did not have the mentioned colors for the challenge but substituted lt. green, lt. pink and dk. brown. The deep brown flowers are stamped in brown and clear embossed with a little glitter sprinkled over before heated. I saw a few cards with this panel look and wanted to try it. I like the way it turned out. The DP is MME. I thought the front on this card was busy enough so I didn't include a sentiment. The stamp is SU! Best Blossoms. The brad is a regular one you would use with your elementary student but I colored it with a SU! marker and dipped it in the EB powder, heated, and viola' a brown sparkly brad....how cool is that?! That there's a money-saving tip, yep!!

As soon as I saw this little lamb from Hanna Stamps I knew I wanted to do something for baby. It's so sweet.
My baby just turned 10! Hard to believe and while it would be fun to have a baby with all the teens/preteens in the house.....I'm enjoying this new phase. They can all fend for themselves...which leaves me time for stamping! yeah!! Note: I do not in anyway neglect my children to stamp. :)
The technique used on this card is soo kewl and easy. Simply take a white card, stamp your image in Versamark and clear emboss. Next, choose a color, load your brayer and ink the card. It will look splotchy at first but as the white cs absorbs the color it will even out. When dry, take a tissue and wipe off any ink on the embossed image and POP! There you have it! My daughter used this technique with the flowers from Best Blossoms (SU!) (it resembled a Hawaiian shirt) so she cut it into the shape of a surfboard to embellish a card. Too cute! This card was for the DIY-DP, Friday's Splitcoast Stampers Limited Supply Challenge. (Do It Yourself-Designer Paper) And this technique fits under my label for money-saving tips! Have a great weekend!

I really like the colors of this card!
I have brown layered under each of the "blocks" and sponged brown around the white and purple cs. The flowers are from Seeing Spots (SU!), this stamp is also used in Veramark on the fushia cs. Get this, the three little jewels are from a pack of gems to add bling to your cell phone. They were under a dollar and sticky! What more could you ask for??
What color do you use most often for your card base?
I probably use white because it's less expensive and I don't have to add an inside layer for writing. I think I'll send this one to someone I haven't seen for a while...........spreading joy. Thanks for looking.

Ok, so I make alot of Thank You cards. Well, what can I say we are blessed. Almost everyday there is someone to thank, I'm sure that's true for you too. Sometimes you just have to think alittle. Jesus has blessed us in so many ways, how can we not have grateful hearts. Who has blessed you today?
This bashful blue card is layered with mellow moss stamped with Seeing Spots (SU!) randomly and brown dry embossed with the Seeing Spots brass. The metal edged tag ( a box of 50 from Staples, $.99) stamped w/matching flower in brown and hanging from olive ribbon. In Everything Give Thanks is from Happy Harmony a retired SU! set stamped in brown.
